## What it does

Blur Background gives a regular phone photo the soft background of a fast portrait lens, with the person kept sharp.

## From our test

I used a woman in a yellow raincoat on a busy street where the shops and cars were as sharp as she was. My first engine barely softened it. On this one the storefronts and cars fell into a natural blur while her face and jacket stayed crisp, in 29 seconds. It is a moderate blur, closer to f/2.8 than to a creamy f/1.4.

- Photos with some distance between the person and the background look most natural.
- Busy backgrounds benefit the most.
- For a stronger effect, run it again on the result.

Only photos of adults, of yourself or of people who agreed to it, and only images you have the right to edit. Every upload goes through the same safety checks as the rest of PixelDojo.
