What Salon Mishap does
You sit in a salon chair with a cape around your shoulders, facing away from the mirror. The stylist spins you around and your hair has become a towering mass of giant curls with bright streaks, so you stare in shock before laughing.
The salon makeover reveal goes very wrong
The salon chair spins around to reveal a comically huge teased hairdo, and you react with shock and then laughter. Waist-up photos work best.
Still looks like you
The video opens on your exact photo, so the face, hair, outfit and surroundings carry through the whole effect.
Made for short-form video
Built for the clips people share on Reels, TikTok and Shorts: one clear moment in five seconds, framed to stop the scroll.
How to make a Salon Mishap video
- Upload a photo, or pick one from your library.
- Press Generate. There is no prompt to write; the effect is already set up.
- Your 5 second HD video plays right on the page. Save it to your library or download it.
Tips for the best photo
- Use a waist-up photo with your hair visible and loose, since the hairdo is built from it.
- Seated or straight-on photos work best, matching the salon chair setup.
- Any top works, since the cape covers it.
Ideas for using it
- A joke clip for a friend about to get a real haircut.
- A funny ad concept for a hair salon or a stylist's profile page.
- A before-and-after style post for a creator who talks hair.
