PixelDojo vs Leonardo
PixelDojo vs Leonardo: the same game pitch on old and new models
Leonardo.Ai's relaxed generation covers a short list, mostly older models, with MiniMax H3 only at 480p. Pixel Dojo runs the current ones at list price, shows each price before you click and keeps your credits while you subscribe.
A game studio needs key art, a trailer beat and a logo by Friday. We built that pitch for a game called Ashen Reach, then animated the same key art on two models from Leonardo's relaxed list class and two current ones.
30 credits ($1.88) per 5 s clip at 720p with audio. Included in every plan, from $10/month.

The problem: unlimited on the older models, tokens for the new ones
Leonardo.Ai's pricing page gives the Free plan 150 fast tokens a day with public creations. Its Premium and Ultimate plans add relaxed, unlimited generation on a named list, mostly older models: Lucid Origin, Lucid Realism, Phoenix 1.0 and 0.9, Motion 1.0 and 2.0, Hailuo 2.3, MiniMax H3 at 480p and Wan 2.6.
The footnote says that queueing of those generations may be slowed based on demand. For a studio pitch the question is simple: is the model you can run all day the model you want to show?
The rest of the Ashen Reach pitch

The key art all four clips start from, made on Seedream 5.
Wide game key art: a lone scout in a patched green cloak stands on a black basalt ridge looking over a vast ash grey valley, the enormous half buried ribcage of a sea creature rising from the dust, a ribbon of glowing blue river winding through it, drifting embers, painterly concept art, dramatic low sun.

The title logo on Ideogram 4.5, spelled exactly as typed.
Game title logo with the words "ASHEN REACH" in carved stone letters with glowing blue cracks, a small ribcage emblem above the text, dark charcoal background, crisp key art lettering.

A creature sheet on Nano Banana 2.1 for the art bible.
Creature concept sheet for a game: a tall dust-walker beast with a ribbed bone carapace, long stilt legs and a lantern of blue light in its chest, shown from the front and side on a neutral grey backdrop, painterly concept art, clean labels-free layout.
A trailer opener on Veo 3.1 Fast with wind and a low drone in the sound.
Slow aerial shot gliding over a vast ash grey valley toward the giant bleached ribcage of a sea creature, dust blowing across black basalt ridges, a thin blue river glowing below, a tiny cloaked scout walking along the rim. Sound: low wind, distant creaking bone and a deep drone.
One key art, four video models, two generations apart
We made Ashen Reach key art on Seedream 5, then animated that exact frame with the same prompt on four video models. WAN 2.6 and Hailuo sit in the class of models Leonardo lists for relaxed generation. Seedance 2.5 and Kling 3.0 are current.
The scout turns her head toward the giant ribcage and lifts a hand against the blowing ash, her cloak snapping in the wind, embers drifting across the valley, the camera slowly pushes in.

- All four kept the valley, the ribcage and the glowing river from the key art, so the pitch still reads as one world.
- Hailuo's clip came back without sound, while WAN 2.6, Seedance 2.5 and Kling 3.0 all arrived with a sound track.
- Hailuo turned the scout toward the camera and her face drifted from the key art by the last second, the kind of change an art director spots.
- Seedance 2.5 and Kling 3.0 gave the cloak and the camera push the most weight, which is what a trailer cut needs.
When Leonardo is the better pick
If you make a high volume of drafts on Lucid, Phoenix or Motion and can wait in a relaxed queue, the Premium and Ultimate plans are built for that. The pricing page also lists a free daily allowance and pay as you go API credit that does not expire.
The trade is that the unlimited list is mostly older models, with MiniMax H3 only at 480p, and Leonardo says it may slow with demand. If your pitch needs the newest models, you pay for them in tokens like everything else.
