Ideogram 4.5 text to image and image editing on Pixel Dojo
Ideogram 4.5 AI Image Generator
Ideogram 4.5 sets the words you put in quotes like a designer would, and its Precise Edit rewrites one line of a finished image while every other pixel stays put.
Ideogram 4.5 is the newest image model from Ideogram, built for designs that carry words: posters, logos, packaging, shop signs, book covers and infographics. One tool does three jobs. Write a prompt to create an image, add up to 5 images to edit or combine them, or switch on Precise Edit to change only what you name. We made every image on this page on Pixel Dojo, and each one comes with its exact prompt so you can start from it.
2 credits ($0.13) per image. Included in every plan, from $10/month.

Ideogram 4.5 examples: posters, signs, packaging and brand marks
Five images we made with Ideogram 4.5 on Pixel Dojo, each carrying words we wrote into the prompt. Tap Use this prompt on any tile to start from it, and set the quality and size shown on the tile to match.

A three ink festival poster on High at 1792 x 2240. NIGHT TIDE, JAZZ BY THE HARBOR and the AUGUST 14 TO 16 badge all sit where the prompt placed them, with paper grain and print texture. Swap in your own event and dates.
Screen printed festival poster for an invented jazz weekend: the headline "NIGHT TIDE" in huge hand cut condensed letters across the top, "JAZZ BY THE HARBOR" in a slim widely spaced serif beneath it, and "AUGUST 14 TO 16" in a bold round badge at the bottom right. An upright bass player in silhouette against a giant setting moon over moored sailboats, three flat inks of deep teal, coral and cream, visible paper grain and slight ink misregistration.

A photoreal storefront at blue hour. The gold leaf MARGOT'S BAKERY sign and the FRESH BREAD DAILY window script read cleanly, with wet cobblestones and warm light from inside. Start from this prompt for any shop sign.
Photograph of a small corner bakery at blue hour on a rainy cobblestone street, 35mm lens: a hand painted gold leaf sign above the window reads "MARGOT'S BAKERY", the window glass is lettered "FRESH BREAD DAILY" in white script, warm light inside showing shelves of crusty loaves, reflections on the wet stones, a bicycle leaning by the door, cinematic color.

A packaging shot with three tiers of label copy: WILD MINT in deep green serif, ORGANIC LOOSE LEAF TEA in small capitals and NET WT 50 G at the base. Soft window light makes it ready for a product page.
Studio product photograph of a matte kraft paper tea tin standing on pale travertine, the tin label reads "WILD MINT" in elegant deep green serif, with "ORGANIC LOOSE LEAF TEA" in small capitals beneath and "NET WT 50 G" at the bottom edge, fresh mint sprigs and scattered dried leaves around it, soft morning window light from the left, gentle shadows, shallow depth of field, premium packaging photography.

A brand mark and identity sheet on Medium. A clean mountain and sun emblem, the SUMMIT ROAST wordmark, the tagline and three labeled color swatches, all crisp flat vector. A fast way to explore a logo direction.
Brand identity sheet for an invented coffee roaster on warm off white paper: a circular emblem with a stylized mountain and a rising sun inside, the wordmark "SUMMIT ROAST" in bold geometric sans serif below it, the tagline "SMALL BATCH COFFEE" in small spaced capitals underneath, and three color swatches labeled "ESPRESSO", "EMBER" and "CREAM" along the bottom. Flat vector design, crisp edges, generous margins.

A four step infographic with matching line icons. Every step label and the footer are spelled as written, in a clear hierarchy that reads at thumbnail size.
Clean editorial infographic poster titled "HOW TO BREW POUR OVER" in bold black sans serif at the top. Four numbered steps in a vertical column, each with a simple flat icon on the left: "1. GRIND 20 G", "2. RINSE THE FILTER", "3. BLOOM 30 SECONDS", "4. POUR SLOWLY". A footer line reads "MAKES ONE CUP". Cream background, burnt orange accent color, generous spacing, strong visual hierarchy.
What Ideogram 4.5 is great at
Typography first. Ideogram 4.5 spells quoted text correctly and follows where you place it: a headline across the top, a badge in a corner, a tagline in small spaced capitals. Our poster, label, sign, brand sheet and infographic all read exactly as written.
It is just as strong on photographs. The rainy bakery and the tea tin look like real product and street photography, with the lettering sitting naturally on gold leaf, glass and paper.
Editing is built in. Add a picture and the prompt becomes an instruction, so you can change a season, a drink or a menu board in one sentence. Precise Edit goes further and keeps framing, layout and every other word exactly as they were. We use it to make a new flavor or a new price from one finished design.
Ideogram 4.5 vs Ideogram 4 on one book cover
We gave both models the same book cover prompt at 1664 x 2496, Ideogram 4.5 on Medium and Ideogram 4 on Balanced, 2 credits each. Both spelled every line. Ideogram 4.5 painted a richer scene with long dawn shadows and set the title on one elegant line. Ideogram 4 stacked a bigger title over a calmer sky.
Same prompt: Book cover for an invented novel: the title "THE SALT ORCHARD" in large elegant serif centered in the top third, the line "A NOVEL" in small spaced capitals beneath it, and the author line "MIRA CALDWELL" along the bottom. A lone lemon tree heavy with fruit standing on a cracked white salt flat at dawn, long blue shadows, painterly texture, muted gold and pale blue palette. The only words on the cover are the title, A NOVEL and the author line.
Ideogram 4.5Ideogram 4.5 on Medium, 2 credits. A painterly cover with the title on one line, long dawn shadows across the salt and only the three lines of copy we asked for.

Ideogram 4.5 edit and Precise Edit: before and after
We made a cafe photo from text, then gave it two instructions. The edit changed the whole mood. Precise Edit changed only the words we named. The last image is a Precise Edit of the WILD MINT tea tin from the showcase above.

The starting image, made from text on Medium. A chalkboard special, a cappuccino and a slice of tart in morning light.
Photograph of a cozy cafe counter in the morning: a wooden standing chalkboard menu reads "TODAY'S SPECIAL" at the top and "LEMON TART" below in white chalk lettering, a ceramic cup of cappuccino and a slice of lemon tart on a plate beside it, warm window light, potted plants, shallow depth of field, 35mm lens.

Edit, 2 credits. One sentence turned morning into a snowy evening, added string lights, swapped the drink for hot chocolate and rewrote the board to HOT COCOA and $4.00.
Turn this into a cozy snowy winter evening: snow falling outside the window, warm string lights along the counter, swap the cappuccino for a mug of hot chocolate topped with marshmallows, and change the chalkboard to read "HOT COCOA" with "$4.00" below it.

Precise Edit, 2 credits. Only the special and the price changed to PLUM CAKE and $5.00. The chalk style, the cup, the tart, the barista and the light all stayed as they were.
Change the chalkboard text "LEMON TART" to "PLUM CAKE" and the price to "$5.00".

Precise Edit on the packaging shot, 2 credits. A new flavor name and a pale blue label in one sentence, with ORGANIC LOOSE LEAF TEA, NET WT 50 G, the mint and the shadows left exactly in place.
Change the label text "WILD MINT" to "EARL GREY" in the same green serif and make the label paper pale blue.
- Use an edit for big changes. One sentence turned a morning cafe into a snowy evening with string lights and hot chocolate, and wrote HOT COCOA on the board.
- Use Precise Edit for small, exact changes. Name the old text and the new text in quotes, like "LEMON TART" to "PLUM CAKE", and the rest of the image stays put.
- Precise Edit is ideal for product lines and price updates: one finished design becomes EARL GREY on a blue label with the same tin, light and props.
- Both modes cost the same as making an image: 2 credits on Medium for each of these.

Ideogram 4.5 questions
What is Ideogram 4.5?
Ideogram 4.5 is the newest image model from Ideogram. It creates images from text, edits and combines up to 5 images with a written instruction, and has a Precise Edit mode that changes only what you name. It is best known for clean, accurate text inside images.
What is Ideogram 4.5 best at?
Designs where the words are part of the picture: posters, logos and brand marks, packaging, storefront signs, book covers and infographics. It also makes polished photographs, like the rainy bakery and the tea tin on this page.
What is the difference between edit and Precise Edit?
An edit follows your instruction freely, so it can change the mood, the light or several objects at once. Precise Edit changes only what the prompt names and keeps the framing, the layout and the other text exactly as they were. Our cafe example shows both.
How much does Ideogram 4.5 cost?
Ideogram 4.5 is included in every Pixel Dojo plan, from $10/month. An image costs 1 credit on Low, 2 credits on Medium and 6 credits on High. Edits can also run on Draft for 0.5 credits.
Is Ideogram 4.5 better than Ideogram 4?
Ideogram 4.5 adds editing and Precise Edit in the same tool, and on our book cover test it painted a richer scene at the same 2 credits. Ideogram 4 is still a great choice for straight text to image work.
What sizes does Ideogram 4.5 support?
For new images, pick Auto or a fixed size such as 2048 x 2048 square, 2560 x 1440 widescreen, 1440 x 2560 vertical, 1792 x 2240 poster or 3072 x 1024 banner. Edits keep the shape of your source image by default.
Can I use Ideogram 4.5 through an API?
Yes. Send a prompt to /api/v1/models/ideogram-4-5/run with an API key, add image_urls to edit, and set precise to true for Precise Edit. Every image on this page was made through that API.
