What a consistent character actually needs
A character is consistent when the face, hair and signature details survive new clothes, light, angles and settings. Most models can do one good portrait; the hard part is the tenth scene.
There are two ways to get there. A reference image works from the first shot. A trained LoRA holds the identity more tightly across many shots and styles, at the cost of a training run.

One character, three new scenes
We generated Mara's studio portrait first, then used it as the only reference for three scenes on Nano Banana 2.1.
