1. WAN 2.6 Flash, cheapest, quickest, and the most frames
Our clip billed 5 credits, which is 5 seconds at the 720p rate of 1 credit per second, and it finished inside about 77 seconds. That is three times quicker than Seedance 2 High and more than four times quicker than Kling 2.6 Pro on the same prompt. The file measured 1280 by 720 at 30 frames per second over 5.01 seconds and 4,402,023 bytes, so 0.88 megabytes per second of video. The 30 frames per second is the part that matters for this subject. If you plan to retime the clip further in an edit, more source frames is exactly what you want, and it was the only file here above 24. Its 1080p tier costs 1.5 credits per second, which is half what Kling 2.6 Pro charges for 1080p, though we did not test that tier. Clips run 5 to 15 seconds. Skip it if you need any sound at all. Both WAN 2.6 Flash clips we generated today came back with an audio stream measured at a mean of minus 84.3 decibels, which is silence with a container around it.

That is 1.54 megabytes for every second of video, the highest density in the test and nearly six times the Seedance 2 High file at the same price. Suspended water is about the hardest thing you can ask a codec to keep, because it is thousands of small bright edges moving at once, so resolution and bitrate together are the whole argument for this model on this subject. The constraint is rigid: durations are 5 or 10 seconds and nothing else, and the model renders at 1080p. Skip it when you are iterating, because a six minute wait per attempt is expensive in time, and skip it if you want ambience in the box. Ours measured a mean of minus 37.4 decibels.

Paying the same 15 credits as Kling 2.6 Pro for a fifth of the picture is why this sits third. Two things keep it on the list. Its audio came back the most usable of the three by a distance, a mean of minus 20 decibels with a peak of minus 4.7, close to a level you could cut with. And it is the only model here that goes to 4K, at 23 credits per second, with 720p at 4 and 1080p at 10, in durations of 5, 10 or 15 seconds. Skip the 480p tier for a macro subject, where the detail is the point, and skip the model entirely if you are optimising for cost per frame.
