Civitai alternative
Civitai alternative for creators who want the open models and more
Pixel Dojo runs the FLUX, Qwen, WAN and Z-Image families Civitai creators build on, next to Seedance 2.5, Kling 3.0 and Veo 3.1, with LoRA trainers and one credit price shown before every run.
Civitai is where many creators find models and LoRAs. We took one creator job, a painted creature card set, and built it start to finish on Pixel Dojo to show what that looks like here.
1.5 credits ($0.09) per image at 2K. Included in every plan, from $10/month.

The brief: a painted creature card set in one style
A card set lives or dies on consistency. Every card needs the same linework, palette and paper, and one card should move for the trailer.
On Civitai a creator would usually hunt for a checkpoint and a style LoRA. We wanted to see how far one prompt and a style reference get on Pixel Dojo, before any training.
Other styles from the same studio
We made each of these on Pixel Dojo with the prompt shown. Tap one to start from it.

Anime background art on Kling Image, clean cel shading for 1 credit.
Anime background art of a lonely countryside bus stop with a tin roof beside a field of tall sunflowers, a vending machine glowing softly, huge summer cumulus clouds, power lines across a bright blue sky, clean cel shading and painted detail, no people.

Pixel art on Flux 2 Dev with crisp edges and a tight palette.
Detailed pixel art scene of a tiny domed observatory on a sea cliff at night, its telescope pointed at a sky full of stars and a green aurora, waves breaking on the rocks below, warm light in one window, limited 32 color palette, crisp pixels.

Street photography on Z-Image Turbo, the cheapest run on this page.
35mm street photograph of a delivery cyclist with a basket of baguettes riding through a narrow cobblestone alley at sunrise, long shadows, steam curling from a bakery vent, warm film color and soft grain.
Sci fi on WAN 3.0 with sound built in.
Slow dolly through a greenhouse aboard a space station, a white robotic arm gently watering rows of tomato plants under violet grow lights, Earth turning slowly beyond a curved window, soft hum of machinery and a trickle of water.
Case study: key art, two matching cards and a moving card
We painted the key art on Qwen Image 2.1, used it as the only style reference for two new creatures on Nano Banana 2.1, then animated the key art on Seedance 2.5. Each tile shows its settings and credits.

Painterly fantasy creature art in ink and watercolor: a towering moss covered stag whose wide antlers hold a small tree house with glowing round windows, standing in a misty birch forest at dawn, loose ink linework, soft watercolor washes, visible cold press paper texture, muted greens and amber.

Match the painting style of the reference image exactly: loose ink linework, soft watercolor washes, cold press paper texture, muted greens and amber. Do not copy its subject. New creature: a giant grey heron wading through tall reeds at dusk, a stack of three tiny wooden fishing boats balanced on its back, lantern light in the smallest boat, still water reflecting the sky.

Match the painting style of the reference image exactly: loose ink linework, soft watercolor washes, cold press paper texture, muted greens and amber. Do not copy its subject. New creature: a sleepy brown hare as big as a hill, a white windmill growing from the grass on its back, lying in a field of wild red poppies under a pale morning sky, a winding footpath leading to it.
The stag slowly turns its head toward the camera, the tree house windows flicker warmly, mist drifts between the birch trunks and a few leaves fall, the painted ink and watercolor look stays the same. Sound: soft wind, distant birdsong and the creak of old wood.
- Qwen Image 2.1 nailed the brief on the first run: loose ink lines, soft washes and visible paper grain, with warm light in the round windows.
- Both matched cards kept the same muted greens, ink linework and paper texture from a single reference, with no training run.
- The heron and the hare are new creatures, so the reference carried the style without copying the stag.
- Seedance 2.5 kept the painting look while it moved, with falling leaves, glowing windows and sound built in.
