PicLumen alternative: five checks and one photo brief on four engines

Pixel Dojo carries the same headline engines PicLumen lists, GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana 2.1, Seedream 5 and Grok Image among them, with commercial use on every plan and each credit price on the page before you click.

PicLumen bundles a lot of top models behind one Lumens balance. We read its pricing page and home page, then sent one detailed photo brief to four engines we carry, so you can judge the looks side by side.

2 credits ($0.13) per image at 1024x1024. Included in every plan, from $10/month.

Five checks before you leave PicLumen

  • 1. Which models the plan really unlocks

PicLumen's home page lists Nano Banana 2.1, GPT Image 2.5, Seedream 5.0 Pro, Seedance 2.5, Kling 3.0 and Veo 3.1, while its plan cards name Seedance 2.0 and GPT Image 2. We ran the newest versions in our test below, and every Pixel Dojo plan includes every model.

  • 2. What a Lumen buys

PicLumen prices in Lumens and its plan cards estimate output, about 750 images or 30 videos on Lite. We price each model in credits on its own page. Our four test images cost 2, 1.5, 2.5 and 1 credits.

  • 3. Whether commercial use is full or limited

PicLumen's free Basic plan carries no commercial use rights and Lite lists limited commercial licensing, with full licensing from Standard. On Pixel Dojo, commercial use comes with every plan.

  • 4. What happens to unused balance

PicLumen's Lumen Vault, which keeps unused Lumens, is listed on the Elite plan only. Check how your own plan treats a quiet month before you buy a big one.

  • 5. What comes after the picture

We save people in Character Studio and call them by @name in any prompt, train LoRAs on FLUX, Qwen, WAN and Z-Image, and let Sensei plan, price and review a whole project before it spends a credit.

Four more jobs, four more engines

We made each image and clip below on Pixel Dojo with the prompt shown.

Low angle shot from the water as a surfer in her thirties in a black wetsuit paddles into a glassy wave at dawn, pops up and carves along the face, spray catching pink light, the camera bobbing on the surface. Sound: rolling surf, spray and gulls.

  • GPT Image 2.5 made the richest frame, down to an engraved watch lid and a mug that reads Better Time Ahead, for 2 credits.
  • Nano Banana 2.1 gave the most complete workbench, the shot we would pick for a story about the craft.
  • Seedream 5 went closest and darkest, with the lamp as the only warm light.
  • Grok Image cost 1 credit and filled the bench with the most parts and tools.

When PicLumen is the better pick

PicLumen's Basic plan hands out limited free Lumens every day, which suits someone who wants to play without paying and does not need commercial rights.

It also keeps a community gallery, challenges and a long list of one click tools in one place. If browsing and remixing is how you work, that is a real plus.

If you sell what you make, want full commercial use on the cheapest plan, or want the price of each model before you press generate, we built Pixel Dojo for that.

What a PicLumen user pays here

Plans are Lite $10 a month for 160 credits, Pro $25 for 500 credits, Pro Max $50 for 1,100 credits. Every plan includes every model and commercial use.

Each tile on this page lists its own price, from 0.25 credits on Z-Image Turbo to 10 credits for the WAN 3.0 clip.

Under our refund policy, a first purchase can be refunded within 7 days, in full if under 20% of the credits are used and pro-rated after that.
