What does the merge itself cost?
Processing bills on the size of the exported file, about 250 megabytes per credit, rounded up to the nearest tenth of a credit with a 0.1 credit minimum. The soundtrack is charged once when it is generated. The clips are not charged again.
Can I use my own music instead?

Will the sound already in my clips survive the merge?

How long can the finished video be?
As long as the clips add up to. Individual clips top out in the tens of seconds depending on the model, so runtime comes from clip count. The generated soundtrack is the one hard ceiling at 5 minutes, so a longer piece needs a second track or your own audio file.
