Z-Image Turbo gave us the best cyberpunk picture for the money. We sent the same rain slicked alley prompt to three models on August 26, 2026 and timed every request. Z-Image Turbo answered in about 8 seconds for 0.5 credits and was the only one that rendered the translucent raincoat we asked for while still looking like a photograph. Flux 2 Pro cost 1.5 credits, took about 24 seconds, and produced the loudest neon render of the three. Seedream 5 Lite cost 1 credit, took about 28 seconds, and was the only model that came back as a wide 3136 by 1344 frame. The right pick depends on whether you want a photo, a poster or a widescreen plate.
Side-by-side, same prompt
Every model below ran the identical prompt on PixelDojo so the outputs are directly comparable: “A rain slicked cyberpunk alley at night, towering neon signs reflecting in the puddles, a lone figure in a translucent raincoat walking away from camera, steam rising from a street vent, cinematic wide shot”
Z-Image Turbo
8.0sPhotographic rather than illustrated, and the only one that drew the clear plastic raincoat. 0.5 credits, about 8 seconds, 1024 by 1024.
Flux 2 Pro
24sLoudest magenta and cyan render with holographic panels and full puddle reflections. 1.5 credits, about 24 seconds, 1008 by 1008.
Seedream 5 Lite
28sOnly wide frame of the three at 3136 by 1344, with the deepest neon canyon. Missed the raincoat detail. 1 credit, about 28 seconds.
Neon, wet ground and the raincoat test: the three placings
1. Z-Image Turbo, 0.5 credits, about 8 seconds
Z-Image Turbo was the cheapest thing we ran and the fastest by a wide margin, and it still won the hardest part of the brief. The prompt asked for a translucent raincoat. Z-Image Turbo is the only model of the three that drew a clear plastic one, hood up, over dark trousers, with the fabric catching light along the shoulders. The rest of the frame is a narrow real alley: wet asphalt, vertical red and cyan signs stacked up the walls, a service shutter on the left, a second figure silhouetted far ahead in the drifting steam. It reads as a photograph taken on a wet night, not as a render. Colour is restrained instead of maximal, which is why it looks real. The file came back at 1024 by 1024. Skip it if you want the comic book version of cyberpunk. It will not give you the saturated magenta poster look, and there is no wide frame option in this run.
2. Flux 2 Pro, 1.5 credits, about 24 seconds
Flux 2 Pro spent its budget on spectacle and it shows. Floating holographic ad panels in hot magenta and cyan hang down both walls, a lamp post glows on the right, the alley floor is scattered with litter and puddles that mirror every sign in the frame, and a plume of steam rises off a manhole cover in the foreground. The figure in the middle wears a glossy translucent shell over dark clothing, which is closer to the brief than Seedream 5 Lite managed. Everything is pushed: contrast, saturation, reflection density. If you are making a key visual, a thumbnail or a game splash, this is the frame people stop on. It was the most expensive image in the test at 1.5 credits and came back at 1008 by 1008. Skip it if you want a photograph. This is unmistakably a render, and at 1008 pixels square you have less room to crop than Seedream 5 Lite gave us for less money.
3. Seedream 5 Lite, 1 credit, about 28 seconds
Seedream 5 Lite was the only model that answered the words cinematic wide shot with an actual wide frame. Ours arrived at 3136 by 1344 with no size instruction from us, and it uses that width well: the alley opens onto a canyon of neon towers receding into rain, one sign reads RAMEN in clean letters, and a steam plume rolls in from a pipe on the right. It is also the darkest and moodiest of the three, closer to a night exterior in a film than to an illustration. The catch is the costume. Our figure came back in an ordinary dark hooded coat, not the translucent raincoat the prompt named, so the one specific prop in the brief went missing. Skip it when a named detail has to land. If your prompt hinges on a particular garment, object or sign, check the result before you build on it, or run the cheaper Z-Image Turbo first to see whether the detail is reachable at all.
One alley prompt, three models, one afternoon. Prices ran 0.5 to 1.5 credits. Measured turnaround ran 8 to 28 seconds.
Why Choose Pixel Dojo for Cyberpunk Scene Models
Professional-quality results with cutting-edge AI technology
Cheapest was not worst
The 0.5 credit model got the one hard detail right and the 1.5 credit model did not lead on realism. Price did not predict the winner here.
Only one gave a wide frame
Two models returned squares near 1024 pixels. Seedream 5 Lite returned 3136 by 1344 from the same prompt with no size setting.
Speed spread was more than 3x
About 8 seconds against about 24 and about 28. If you are iterating on a look, that gap decides how many tries fit in an hour.
How It Works
How we ran the test, so you can repeat it:
One prompt, defaults everywhere
All three models got the same alley prompt with no size setting, no negative prompt and no style preset. First result kept in every case.
Clocked from submission to finished file
Each request was bracketed with a timestamp before it went out and read again off the delivered file. That is where about 8, about 24 and about 28 seconds come from.
Judged the files, then applied price
We opened all three at full size and scored neon density, wet ground reflection and whether the translucent raincoat appeared. Credit price and speed broke the tie.

Common Questions
Everything you need to know about Cyberpunk Scene Models
Which AI model is best for cyberpunk scenes?
Z-Image Turbo on this test. It cost 0.5 credits, returned in about 8 seconds, and was the only one of the three that drew the translucent raincoat the prompt asked for. Choose Flux 2 Pro instead when you want the saturated poster look, and Seedream 5 Lite when you need a wide cinematic frame.
How much does one cyberpunk image cost?
Between 0.5 and 1.5 credits for the three models here. Z-Image Turbo is 0.5 credits per image, Seedream 5 Lite is 1 credit, and Flux 2 Pro is 1.5 credits at its default size.
Which one was fastest?
Z-Image Turbo at about 8 seconds from submission to finished file. Flux 2 Pro took about 24 seconds and Seedream 5 Lite about 28 seconds in the same session. Queue load moves these, so treat them as typical rather than guaranteed.
Can I get a widescreen cyberpunk frame?
Yes. Seedream 5 Lite returned 3136 by 1344 from this prompt with no size instruction from us. The other two came back close to square, at 1024 by 1024 and 1008 by 1008. All three also accept an aspect ratio setting if you want to force the shape.
Why did one model miss the raincoat?
Prompt adherence on a single named prop varies by model, and Seedream 5 Lite gave us a plain dark hooded coat instead. When one detail carries the whole shot, generate it on the cheapest model first to confirm the detail is reachable, then spend credits on the look you want.
Can I call these models from an API?
Yes. POST to /api/v1/models/z-image-turbo/run, /api/v1/models/flux-2-pro/run or /api/v1/models/seedream-5-lite/run with the same key and the same request shape. Swapping models means changing one string.
