Kling Reference to Video
Generated on PixelDojo with Kling Reference to Video. Produced by PixelDojo's generation pipeline.
Kling Reference to Video starts at 9 credits for the cheapest run, a 3 second clip on the standard tier from a single reference image, and our test at that setting took about 200 seconds on August 26, 2026. We sent it one product photo and a camera-orbit instruction. It turned a static earbuds case into an actual moving shot on the first try. Here is the frame-by-frame result, the pricing across tiers, and how it differs from PixelDojo's other Kling animation tool.

What our cheapest run showed and what the other tiers cost
What the clip actually does
The source photo is a matte black earbuds case already open, shot from a three-quarter angle. Across the 3 second clip the camera swings around the case to a different side, the lighting shifts subtly as it moves, and the case stays open and in frame the whole time. That is a real camera move built from one still image, not a pan-and-zoom effect over a flat photo.
Four price points on one model
Standard tier with an image reference is 3 credits per second, the cheapest combination. Standard with a video reference is 6 credits per second. Pro with an image reference is 7 credits per second. Pro with a video reference is 8 credits per second. Our run used the cheapest combination at the shortest allowed length.
Duration is 3 to 15 seconds
We ran the 3 second floor to keep the cost down. The catalog's listed default further up the price ladder is a 5 second standard-tier image run, which is 15 credits, five credits more than our 3 second test for two extra seconds of footage.
Up to four reference images
Image reference mode accepts up to four image_urls in one request, not just the single start_image_url we used, for compositing several elements into one generated scene.
It also extends a video
Switching reference_type to video and supplying a video_url anchors the generation to an existing clip instead of a photo, at the higher per-second video rate.
Native audio is optional
A generate_audio flag turns on synchronized audio for the clip; it defaults to off, which is what we ran.
9 credits, about 200 seconds, one still photo: a case that starts open, ends the camera orbited to the other side.
Why Choose Pixel Dojo for Kling Reference to Video
Professional-quality results with cutting-edge AI technology
9 credits at the cheapest setting
Standard tier, image reference, 3 second minimum duration. That is 3 credits per second times 3 seconds.
About 200 seconds, measured
Timed on August 26, 2026 from request to finished file at the cheapest standard-tier, 3 second, image-reference setting.
Real camera motion from one still photo
No source video was involved. A single product photograph became a clip with an actual orbiting camera move.
How It Works
How we ran it, so you can repeat it:
Set reference_type to image and supply one photo
We used start_image_url with a single product photo. Switching to reference_type video and a video_url anchors the clip to an existing video instead, at a higher per-second rate.
Pick the tier and the shortest duration you need to test
We ran standard tier at the 3 second floor to keep the cost at 9 credits. Longer clips and the pro tier both raise the per-second or total price.
Describe the camera move, not just the subject
Our prompt named a slow orbit and a lighting shift, and both appeared in the clip. Generate from the tool page or POST to /api/v1/models/kling-reference-to-video/run.

Common Questions
Everything you need to know about Kling Reference to Video
What does Kling Reference to Video cost?
It depends on tier and reference type. Standard with an image reference is 3 credits per second, the cheapest option. Standard with a video reference is 6, Pro with an image reference is 7, and Pro with a video reference is 8 credits per second. Duration runs 3 to 15 seconds, so our 3 second standard-tier image run cost 9 credits.
How fast is Kling Reference to Video?
About 200 seconds in our August 26, 2026 run, at the cheapest 3 second standard-tier image setting. Turnaround moves with queue load and generally scales with the clip length you request.
What does the output actually look like?
In our test, a single product photo of an earbuds case became a 3 second clip with the camera orbiting around the case while it stayed open in frame and the studio lighting shifted with the move. It is a genuine camera motion result, not a static pan over the original photo.
How is it different from Kling Motion Control?
Kling Reference to Video needs only an image or a video reference and a text prompt; it generates the motion itself. Kling Motion Control needs both a character image and a separate motion reference video, then transfers that video's specific motion onto the character. Pick Reference to Video to animate a single photo. Pick Motion Control when you already have a video whose exact motion you want to copy onto a different subject.
How do I call it from the API?
POST to /api/v1/models/kling-reference-to-video/run with your API key, a prompt, a duration, a tier, and either a start_image_url or a video_url with reference_type set to match. Same key and request shape as every other model in the catalog.
Should I use Standard or Pro tier?
Standard with an image reference is the cheapest way to test whether a shot works at all, at 3 credits per second. Pro costs more than double that per second on the same reference type; reach for it once you know the camera move you want and need the higher tier's added quality.
