Cheerful Clay Sunflower Friend

A hand-modeled clay sunflower stands in a terracotta-red pot, its yellow petals framing a round brown face with wide black eyes, rosy cheeks, and a simple black smile. Tiny clay stars, hearts, and colored dots hover around the bloom as if the figure were mid-celebration. A short green stem and a single leaf complete the plant, while leftover clay crumbs and beads rest on the white circular platform below. Even studio lighting from above and slightly in front casts a soft shadow that grounds the sculpture without harsh contrast. The palette is deliberately primary: saturated yellow, green, and red against a seamless white backdrop, emphasizing the toy-like tactility of polymer clay. The composition is centered and slightly low, typical of a product turntable shot, inviting the viewer to imagine the figure rotating in space. The mood is unguarded and childlike, closer to stop-motion character design than botanical illustration. Texture is visible in every fingerprint and seam, celebrating the handmade rather than hiding it. The piece reads as both a playful mascot and a small-scale still life of joy.
