A cavernous workshop holds a dining table of impossible scale, its thick slab top and carved trestle base dominating the concrete floor. Workers in yellow hard hats, black shirts, and jeans climb aluminum ladders and wooden scaffolding as if they were ants on a monument. One figure braces the far edge; another, on a high platform, grips a small Italian flag. A third kneels at the ladder’s base while a fourth watches from a distant workbench.
