Candlelit Birthday Portrait

A young woman with long dark hair and a gentle closed-mouth smile holds a two-tier white cake at chest height, her gaze meeting the viewer. Eight spiral candles in pastel pink, yellow, blue and white burn steadily, their flames casting a warm golden wash across her face, collarbone and the piped frosting. Red and blue fondant hearts, small butterflies and a faint inscription decorate the cake’s surface, while a simple necklace and a small tattoo on her left shoulder add quiet personal detail. The composition is tightly framed and vertically oriented, placing the subject’s face in the upper third and the glowing cake in the lower two-thirds. Soft string lights and a dark metal bed frame recede into a shallow, slightly blurred background, keeping attention on the interplay of candlelight and skin. The palette is dominated by creamy whites, warm ambers and accents of coral, sky-blue and gold, creating an intimate, festive atmosphere that recalls contemporary lifestyle photography and candid celebration portraits.
