Jazz On The Roof

A vertical event poster framed in gold Art Deco ornament on a deep navy field. Large condensed gold lettering announces Jazz on the Roof; smaller caps give Friday 8 PM, The Rooftop Lounge at 447 West End Ave, live sets by the Marlowe Quartet, doors 7:30, and a $15 cover. At center a gold saxophone silhouette rises against radiating cream, gold, and burgundy sunburst stripes. Below, a black city skyline sits on a dusk band of wine and rose, a thin crescent moon at the right. The composition is tightly centered, the sunburst implying sound and night-sky light at once. The palette is restricted to navy, gold, cream, and muted burgundy, evoking 1920s jazz-club graphics and vintage travel posters. Mood is nocturnal, elegant, and slightly theatrical—an invitation to a rooftop set rather than a documentary scene.
