Supercell

Nine 1-credit stills to a storm chase

A rotating supercell drops a wall of hail on the prairie and one old red pickup races it to the barn. Every shot started as a Qwen 3 Pro still at native 1080x1920, with frame one passed back in as the reference so it's the same truck in every shot. Seedance 2.5 animated each still at 1080p with native sound effects.

    Step 1

    Frame one

    Prompt
Cinematic blockbuster film still, photoreal, shot on 35mm, vertical frame. A colossal rotating supercell thunderstorm fills the upper two thirds of the frame: a gigantic layered mothership cloud shaped like a spinning stack of plates, dark green-gray underside, a white curtain of hail pouring from one side, a bright fork of lightning, over a flat golden wheat prairie. In the lower third a straight gravel farm road runs through the wheat toward the camera, and one boxy faded-red 1970s pickup truck with a white roof, round headlights, chrome bumper and a green tarp tied over its bed races toward the camera, a long plume of dust behind it. Low angle, warm late-afternoon sun breaking under the storm and lighting the wheat gold, wheat bending in the wind. Exactly one vehicle, unbranded, no badges. No people visible, no logos, no text, no signs.

    Step 2

    Edit: add a driver

    Prompt
Add a driver behind the steering wheel of the red pickup truck: an adult man in a plain brown work cap, seen only as a dark, shadowed silhouette through the windshield, both hands on the wheel. Keep everything else exactly the same: the truck's shape and color, the storm, the hail curtain, the lightning, the wheat, the dust, the lighting and the camera.

1 credit · Frame one came back with an empty cab, so it went back into Qwen 3 Pro with this edit instruction. 1 take, 1 credit

  3. Step 3: Same truck, six more stills

    Step 3

    Same truck, six more stills

    Prompt
Keep the exact faded-red pickup truck from the reference (same boxy faded-red body, white roof, chrome bumper, green tarp tied over the bed). New shot, cinematic blockbuster film still, photoreal, vertical frame, seen from behind and slightly above: the truck speeds away from the camera down the gravel road through the wheat toward one big red wooden barn with its large double doors wide open at the end of the road, while from the right a towering white curtain of hail pours out of the black storm cloud and closes in across the field toward the road. Dramatic light, the barn lit by a last shaft of sun. Exactly one vehicle, exactly one barn. No people visible, no logos, no text, no signs.
    • size: 1080*1920
    • references: Edited frame one as the input image (s2, s3, s4, s6, s7); s5 is text-only

6 credits · Exact prompt of shot s4 (racing to the barn); the others share the opening 'Keep the exact faded-red pickup truck from the reference' line. 6 stills x 1 credit, 1 take each

  4. Step 4: Motion + sound

    Step 4

    Motion + sound

    Prompt
Inside the barn: the red pickup truck (same exact shape and color, headlights on) skids to a stop toward the camera on the dusty barn floor, straw and dust swirling up around it, while behind it, framed by the open doorway, the white wall of hail pounds down on the farmyard, hailstones bouncing in through the doorway, the barn doors rattling in the wind. The barn beams and doorway keep their exact shape. Exactly one vehicle. Camera steady, very slight push-in. Sound effects only, no music, no speech: tires skidding on dirt, deafening hail drumming on the barn roof, wind.

Music

Prompt
Original cinematic storm-chase trailer instrumental, 25 seconds: pounding low drums and thunderous bass hits from the first second, urgent driving strings and brass building fast, huge impact at 13 seconds, warm hopeful resolve at the end, no vocals.
