Luma UNI 1 Standard or MAX: which tier to pick

Luma UNI 1 runs in two tiers from one tool, and both return the same full resolution, up to 2912 x 1440 pixels at 2:1. Standard uses 1 credit per image and MAX uses 3 credits, so you choose by the kind of image you want, not by size.

Standard is where we go for light, color, texture and food. Our salt flat portrait, our shakshuka and our risograph poster are all Standard images, and the poster set both lines of lettering cleanly.

MAX shines when the prompt hinges on what a body is doing. Ask for a woman in an oilskin leaning back on a rope or a woman leaning on a railing to look down, and MAX puts the pose where you described it. Our storm pier hero, the stairwell and the manga chef are MAX images.

Our tip for both tiers: lead with the shot (anamorphic wide, worm's eye, overhead drone), give the action its own clause, then name the light, the lens and the grade. Every prompt on this page follows that pattern, so any of them makes a good template.

Standard and MAX return the same resolution, so every 1 credit Standard image is ready to use at full size.
Standard brings the light and texture: the storm spray, the weathered skin on the salt flat and the shakshuka steam all came from the 1 credit tier.
MAX follows body direction closely: the woman on the pier leans back on the rope and the woman leans on the railing, just as the prompts describe.
Name the lens, the light and the grade. Phrases like 35mm film grain, teal and amber grade or 50mm f/2 in side window light give Luma UNI 1 its film look.
For product shots, describe one motion beat and the light direction, as in the kettle prompt: a thin ribbon of water, raking light from the left, droplets catching highlights.
Use edit mode to re-frame a scene: add your image as a reference, ask for a new camera, and the subject, props and color grade carry over.
For manga, set Style to manga on a text prompt and ask for ink linework, screentone and speed lines.

Luma UNI 1 vs Krea Image on the same editorial portrait
