FASHN alternative
FASHN alternative: from flat lay to model shot to runway clip
Pixel Dojo puts your garment on a model with Nano Banana 2.1 or GPT Image 2.5, turns the shot into a walking clip on Seedance 2.5, and covers jewelry, footwear and campaign images on the same plan.
FASHN is built for one job: putting products on models. We wanted to see how the same job runs here, so we made one rust linen dress, put it on a model with two image models, and had her walk in it.
1 credit ($0.06) per image at 1K. Included in every plan, from $10/month.

One dress, two try-on models, one walking clip
We made a flat lay and a model base shot, then gave both images to two image models with the same try-on prompt. The Nano Banana 2.1 result is the image at the top of the page, and it became the first frame of the clip.

E-commerce product photo of a rust colored linen wrap midi dress with short flutter sleeves and a tie waist, laid flat on a pure white background, shot from directly above, even soft lighting, every seam and the linen texture visible, no model, no logos.

Full length studio photo of a fashion model, a woman in her late twenties with dark brown skin and short natural curls, wearing a plain white fitted t-shirt and light grey leggings and white sneakers, standing relaxed with hands at her sides, seamless light grey backdrop, soft even studio light.

Virtual try on: dress the woman from the first image in the exact rust linen wrap midi dress from the second image, keeping its flutter sleeves, tie waist, color and linen texture. Keep her face, hair, skin tone, pose, white sneakers and the light grey studio backdrop the same. Full length fashion e-commerce photo, soft even light.
Full body fashion video on a grey studio set: the model takes two slow steps forward, then turns in a slow circle so the rust linen wrap dress swings out and the tie at the back shows, and faces the camera again with a calm smile. The camera stays wide so her whole body, head to sneakers, is always in frame. Soft even studio light. Sound: soft footsteps and quiet room tone.
- Nano Banana 2.1, in the hero shot, and GPT Image 2.5 both kept the dress's rust color, flutter sleeves, tie waist and wrap hem from the flat lay.
- Both kept the model's face, curls and white sneakers from the base photo, so the result reads as a real catalog shot of the same person.
- Kling 3.0 started from the try-on and kept her full body in frame as the linen swung, with soft footsteps in the sound.
- Each try-on cost 1.5 or 2.5 credits, so trying a garment on several models costs very little before you spend on video.

Our hero shot: the Nano Banana 2.1 try-on from the flat lay and the base photo.

A jewelry macro on FLUX 3 Image for 1 credit.

A vertical footwear clip on Kling 3.0 with a soft whoosh.
Vertical product video: a pair of cognac leather penny loafers with no logos turns slowly on a round cream plinth, a soft light sweep crosses the polished leather, warm beige backdrop. Sound: a gentle whoosh and a low ambient hum.

A campaign image on Seedream 5 in golden light.
Fashion campaign photograph of a man in his thirties wearing a loose sand colored linen suit over a white tee, walking across pale sand dunes at golden hour, the jacket lifting in the wind, long shadows, editorial medium format look.
6 ways to make fashion product content without a photo shoot
1. Put the garment on a model
Give Nano Banana 2.1 or GPT Image 2.5 the model photo and the product photo, and say what to keep. Both kept the dress and the model in our test.
2. Make your own house model
Generate a model once, save her in Character Studio, and call her by @name in every new shoot so the look stays the same across a season.
3. Use the dedicated try-on tool
Pixel Dojo also has a virtual try-on tool that dresses a model photo with an upper body, lower body or dress garment image.
4. Turn the look into motion
Start Seedance 2.5 or Kling 3.0 from the model shot and describe the walk or the turn. The garment keeps its color and drape.
5. Shoot accessories as macros
FLUX 3 Image and Seedream 5 handle jewelry, bags and shoes with crisp reflections, like the bracelet below.
6. Train a LoRA for a whole collection
When you shoot the same line every season, train a LoRA on FLUX, Qwen, WAN or Z-Image for the tightest match.

When FASHN is the better pick
If you run an e-commerce catalog and want one app built only for fashion, FASHN is focused on that. It trains its own try-on model, keeps a library of ready made models and backgrounds, shares credits between web and mobile apps, and its Agency plan adds team seats and AI visibility tracking.
If you also need campaign images, product video, voice and captions, or want to pick the model for each shot, we think one Pixel Dojo plan covers more of the job.
What our dress shoot cost
Plans are Lite $10 a month for 160 credits, Pro $25 for 500 credits, Pro Max $50 for 1,100 credits. Every plan includes every model and commercial use.
Our flat lay and base photo cost 1.5 credits each, the try-ons 1.5 and 2.5, and the clip 27.5. Each tile shows its own price.
Under our refund policy, a first purchase can be refunded within 7 days, in full if under 20% of the credits are used and pro-rated after that.
