Promo.com alternative
Promo.com alternative: shoot the promo you pictured, not a template
Pixel Dojo generates the exact scene your business needs on Seedance 2.5, Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0 or WAN 3.0, with sound built in and the credit price shown before you click.
Promo.com is built around templates and stock footage. We wanted to see how far a plain sentence gets a small business instead, so we wrote one food truck promo and ran it on four video models.
30 credits ($1.88) per 5 s clip at 720p with audio. Included in every plan, from $10/month.

Four more small business jobs we made from one sentence each
Every clip and poster below was made on Pixel Dojo with the prompt shown. Tap any tile to start from the same settings.
A talking owner spot on Veo 3.1 Fast, 6 seconds with sound built in.
Vertical medium shot of a bakery owner in his fifties with flour on his apron standing behind a counter of fresh croissants, he smiles at the camera and says, "Baked at five, gone by nine. Come early." Warm early light, the clatter of trays and a coffee grinder.

A print and social poster on Ideogram 4.5 for 2 credits, every word spelled right.
Bold retail poster for a neighborhood bike repair shop with the headline "TUNE-UP WEEK" in heavy rounded letters, a vintage steel road bike on a repair stand in the center, spanners arranged in a fan around it, mint green and tomato red palette, the line "ALL BIKES WELCOME" at the bottom, screen print texture.
A real estate listing shot on MiniMax H3 Turbo for 7.5 credits.
Real estate listing shot: a slow, steady gimbal glide through a bright open plan living room with wide oak floorboards, a linen sofa, a round jute rug and tall windows onto a green garden, afternoon sun across the floor, calm and airy.
A fitness studio clip on WAN 3.0 for 10 credits, with sound built in.
Wide shot of a yoga instructor in her thirties in a sunlit studio with tall arched windows and potted palms, she flows from a low lunge into warrior two on a cork mat, slow camera slide, soft breathing and calm ambient music.
The problem with stock footage promos
Promo.com says its library holds more than 275 million photos and videos from Getty Images, with templates for Facebook ads, Instagram, YouTube intros, real estate, fitness and ecommerce. That is a lot of footage, but none of it shows your truck, your cook or your bao.
We think a promo works best when it shows the real thing. So we tested whether one sentence can produce a usable vertical ad with the product, the person and the sound of the place in it.
One food truck promo on four video models
Same prompt, same 9:16 frame: a cook lifts a steamer lid, slides two bao across the counter and calls the order. Each tile shows its settings and credits.
Vertical promo shot for a street food truck: a cook in his forties in a black apron lifts a bamboo steamer lid, steam billows off a row of fluffy pork bao, he slides a paper tray of two bao across the counter toward the camera with a grin, string lights and a city street at dusk behind him, shallow depth of field, a sizzling griddle, street chatter and a cheerful "Order up!"

- All four clips kept the cook, the steamer, the bao and the street at dusk in one vertical shot, with sound built in. No stock footage, no template.
- Seedance 2.5 followed the action closest, lid, tongs, tray and the slide toward the camera, so it opens this page.
- WAN 3.0 added its own touch, a bao torn open to show the filling, for 10 credits, the lowest price of the four.
- Veo 3.1 Fast and Kling 3.0 framed the cook tighter and warmer, the look of a social ad that stops the scroll.
Our verdict for small business promos
For a promo that shows your own product, one sentence beat a template. Every clip above is usable as a vertical ad as it came back, and each cost between 10 and 30 credits.
We would make the hero shot on Seedance 2.5, test cheap variations on WAN 3.0, then add captions with Video Autocaption before posting.

When Promo.com is the better pick
If you need licensed footage of real places and real people, Promo.com's Getty Images library is the honest answer. Generated video is new footage, not stock.
Promo.com also bundles a social planner that schedules and publishes campaigns, plus brand kits for agencies running several clients. If you want one tool that posts for you, that is a real reason to stay.
If you want footage of your own product and your own idea, made from a sentence, we think Pixel Dojo gets you there faster.
