A2E alternative

A2E alternative: one photo, a voice, and a host who talks

Pixel Dojo turns a single portrait into a talking presenter on Kling Avatar, P-Video Avatar or Seedance 2.5, shows the credit price before you click, and keeps the image and video models you need around it on the same plan.

A2E is built around AI avatars, lip sync and talking photos. We wanted to see how the same job runs here, so we made one shop owner portrait, gave her a script, and made her talk four different ways.

The job A2E does, and why one engine is not enough

A2E sells a wide set of tools, and its core is talking video: AI avatars, lip sync, talking photos, voice clone and text to speech, with face swap and image to video beside them.

The hard part of a talking video is not the mouth. It is a face that stays the same person, hands and shoulders that move like a human, and a voice that fits. Different engines get different parts right, so we think you should be able to try more than one on the same photo.

One shop owner, four ways to make her talk

We made one vertical portrait on Nano Banana 2.1 and wrote one short script about repotting a cactus. Then we animated the same photo four ways. Each tile shows the settings and credits it used.

The plant shop owner talks warmly to the camera, small nods and an easy smile, hands resting on the wooden counter, steady locked off framing.

The plant shop owner smiles at the camera and says, "Today we repot a cactus without a single prickle." She gives a small nod, hanging plants sway slightly behind her, soft shop ambience.

  • Kling Avatar matched lips to an audio file we made with text to speech for half a credit, and kept her face and the shop shelves steady for the full 9 seconds.
  • P-Video Avatar needed no audio file at all. We typed the script, picked a voice and a language, and it spoke for 9 seconds in English and 10 in Spanish.
  • Seedance 2.5 wrote the voice itself from a line in the prompt, the fastest route to a 5 second hook clip.
  • All four kept the same woman, the same shirt and the same counter, so the clips cut together as one series.

When A2E is the better pick

If you want a library of ready made community avatars, voice clone slots or face and head swap tools in one place, A2E puts those front and center, and its free plan gives daily credits to try them.

If your talking head is one part of a bigger video, with b roll, product shots, captions and music around it, we think one studio with every top model is the better fit. Character Studio also saves your presenter once so you can call her by @name in any prompt.

What our talking videos cost

Plans are Lite $10 a month for 160 credits, Pro $25 for 500 credits, Pro Max $50 for 1,100 credits. Every plan includes every model, commercial use and the public API.

In our test the voice line cost 0.5 credits, the P-Video Avatar clips 8 and 10 credits, Kling Avatar 18 and Seedance 2.5 30. Each tile lists its own price.

Under our refund policy, a first purchase can be refunded within 7 days, in full if under 20% of the credits are used and pro-rated after that.

A2E questions

What is a good alternative to A2E?

Pixel Dojo runs Kling Avatar, P-Video Avatar, OmniHuman and Seedance 2.5 for talking video, plus text to speech, auto captions and the major image and video models, with every price shown before you generate.

How much does A2E cost?

A2E's pricing page lists a free plan, Pro at $14.90 for one month or $89.90 for a year, and Ultra at $59.90 for one month or $365 for a year, sold as one time purchases.

Can I make a talking video from one photo?

Yes. Upload a portrait to Kling Avatar with an audio file, or to P-Video Avatar with a typed script, and it speaks. The shop owner clips above were made that way.

Can the avatar speak other languages?

Yes. We ran the same photo through P-Video Avatar in English and in Spanish by changing the script and the language setting.

Does A2E give refunds?

A2E says it generally does not refund purchases because of dissatisfaction with output after the free trial, and that accidental purchases may be refunded within 7 days.
