DreamFace alternative
DreamFace alternative: one photo, one voice, three avatar engines
Pixel Dojo turns a single portrait and a voice track into a talking video on Kling Avatar, OmniHuman or P-Video Avatar, shows each credit price first, and keeps every video and image model on the same plan.
DreamFace is built around making a photo talk. We did that job here: we made one portrait, wrote one line, voiced it with text to speech, then sent the same pair to three avatar engines so you can compare them side by side.

More talking and singing clips made here
Each clip below was made on Pixel Dojo from the prompt shown, with sound built in. Tap one to start from it.
A pet that talks, on Veo 3.1 Fast. Dialogue and room sound come from the prompt itself.
Close up of a green parrot on a wooden perch in a sunny kitchen. It tilts its head toward the camera and says, "Good morning! Coffee first." Soft morning light, a kettle whistling faintly in the background.
A singing dog on WAN 3.0, piano and howl included, for 10 credits.
A tricolor basset hound sitting on a living room rug tilts its head back and howls along as a man plays a slow tune on an upright piano behind it, warm lamp light, a cozy room. Sound: the piano melody and the long happy howl.
A felt puppet show on Seedance 2.5 in vertical, ready for reels.
A blue felt sock puppet monster with googly eyes pops up on a tiny cardboard theater stage with red curtains, waves its arms and says, "Welcome back, friends! The show starts now!" Warm spotlight, handmade look. Sound: a cheerful voice and a small crowd laughing.
A singing character on Kling 3.0: the moon winks, smiles and sings over a snowy village.
Stylized 3D animated shot of a smiling crescent moon with a sleepy face hanging above the snowy rooftops of a little village at night. It opens its eyes and sings a soft, slow lullaby as the stars twinkle in time and chimney smoke curls up. Sound: a gentle sung melody and a soft wind.

The talking photo test: one mechanic, one line
We made a vertical portrait on Nano Banana 2.1 and a short spoken line with text to speech, then gave the same photo and audio to three engines. Each tile shows its settings and credits.

Vertical head and shoulders portrait of a cheerful man in his fifties with a salt and pepper beard and a rust colored work shirt, standing in a sunny bicycle repair shop with wheels hanging on the wall softly blurred behind him, natural window light, looking straight at the camera with his mouth closed, 50mm photograph.
The bike mechanic speaks warmly to the viewer with small nods and a friendly smile, steady framing, the wheels on the wall stay still.
The bike mechanic speaks warmly to the viewer with small nods and a friendly smile, steady framing, the wheels on the wall stay still.
- All three kept his face, beard, shirt and the shop behind him from the photo, and none of the hanging wheels warped.
- Kling Avatar gave the most natural delivery, with small tilts of the head and clear mouth shapes, for 14 credits.
- OmniHuman stayed the calmest and closest to the still photo, which suits a presenter, and cost the most at 35 credits.
- P-Video Avatar was the most animated, with lifted eyebrows and wide smiles, and the cheapest at 7 credits. Good for playful social clips.
What you can do here that a talking photo app skips
Choose the engine per clip
Calm presenter on OmniHuman, lively social post on P-Video Avatar, an everyday mix on Kling Avatar. Same photo, same audio.
Make the photo and the voice too
Generate the portrait on Nano Banana 2.1 or GPT Image 2.5, write the line, voice it with text to speech, then animate it.
Keep one face across videos
Save the person in Character Studio and call them by @name in any prompt, so every clip shows the same face.
Caption it for muted feeds
Run auto captions on the finished clip so the line reads even with the sound off.
When DreamFace is the better pick
If you mostly make quick talking photos on your phone, DreamFace is built for that. It has mobile apps, a Bulk Mode for many avatar videos at once, voice cloning and a translate option, and App Pricing Lab records a 4.9 rating from 14.3K App Store reviews.
If you want to pick the engine, see the price before you press generate, and go from a talking photo to full scenes, ads or a short film on one plan, we think Pixel Dojo is the better fit.
What talking photos cost on Pixel Dojo
Plans are Lite $10 a month for 160 credits, Pro $25 for 500 credits, Pro Max $50 for 1,100 credits. Every plan includes every model and commercial use.
In our test the three talking videos cost 7, 14 and 35 credits, and the portrait and voice line cost 1.5 and 0.5. Each tile lists its own price.
Under our refund policy, a first purchase can be refunded within 7 days, in full if under 20% of the credits are used and pro-rated after that.
