NaturalReader alternative
NaturalReader alternative for stories you want to publish on video
For narration that goes out into the world on video, Pixel Dojo voices the text, gives it a storyteller on screen and licenses the result for commercial use on every plan.
We took the first line of a short story and had it read three ways on Pixel Dojo: a Text to Speech voice lip synced to a portrait, a typed script spoken by an avatar, and a video model that reads it aloud in the scene.

Narrated scenes for readers and storytellers
We made each tile on Pixel Dojo with the prompt shown. The narration is written into the prompt.

The storyteller portrait on Nano Banana 2.1 that both avatars started from.
Portrait of a fictional man in his sixties with wire rimmed half moon reading glasses, a grey cardigan and a neat white mustache, sitting in a leather armchair in a book lined study with an open hardcover in his lap, warm lamp light, looking at the camera with a gentle expression.
A story opening on WAN 3.0 with a narrator voiceover, for 10 credits.
A small fishing boat rocks in a misty cove at dawn, gulls circling the mast, with a calm female narrator voiceover saying, "Nobody in the village spoke of the lighthouse after that winter." Lapping water and distant gulls.
A vertical book recommendation on Seedance 2.5 with her voice built in.
Vertical medium shot of a woman in her thirties with a dark bob and a mustard sweater in a quiet library aisle, she holds up a paperback and whispers to the camera, "Five novels that sound even better read aloud." Soft daylight through tall windows, the hush of turning pages.
A study clip with a voiceover on Kling 3.0.
Close up of a hand running a yellow highlighter across lines in a thick textbook at a desk at night, a mug of tea steaming beside it, with a warm female voiceover saying, "Listen to it once, then read it again." Desk lamp glow, a soft pen squeak.
The problem: personal plan audio stays personal
NaturalReader sells two products. Its help center says audio made on the Lite, Plus and Pro personal plans is licensed for personal use only, and that those plans do not include the commercial AI Voice Generator.
So a creator who starts on a $13.90 personal plan to read stories aloud has to move to a separate commercial plan, from $29 a month per user, before posting a single narrated video.
And either way you get an audio file. The picture still has to come from somewhere else.
One story opening, read three ways
Same storyteller, same opening chapter. We generated the portrait once on Nano Banana 2.1, then voiced it on two avatar models and asked Veo 3.1 Fast for a storyteller who reads the line in the scene.
an older storyteller reading aloud to camera from his armchair, gentle expressions, occasional glance down at the book
Medium shot of a man in his sixties with half moon reading glasses and a grey cardigan reading aloud from a hardcover in a lamp lit study, he looks up from the page and says, "The rain had followed her all the way from the coast." Rain on the window, a crackling fire.
- Kling Avatar kept the portrait exact and moved his lips, eyes and reading hand with the narration, with a glance down at the page.
- P-Video Avatar read a typed script with no audio file and cost 6 credits, against 18 credits for the lip synced version.
- Veo 3.1 Fast invented its own storyteller, fireplace and rainy window from text alone, with sound, in a 6 second shot.
- For a series with one narrator, start from a portrait. For a single scene, a speaking clip is fastest.

Verdict: who should switch
Switch if you publish
Story channels, audiobook trailers, course videos and ads need commercial rights and a picture. Pixel Dojo gives you both on one plan.
Switch if you want a narrator on screen
A portrait plus a voice on Kling Avatar becomes a storyteller who reads to camera, like the clip at the top.
