How to swap your character into any video

Green belt· Intermediate1:34 videoUses Character Swap

One short clip supplies the action, one character becomes the star. The scene, camera and sound stay.

You need: A 2 to 30 second clip you own or may remake, and a saved character.

Step by step

  1. Open Character Swap and add the clip

Click the Video tile, then upload a 2 to 30 second clip, pick one from My Library or paste a link. Use a clip you own or have permission to remake. The scene, camera moves and sound all stay.

  2. Pick who takes the lead

Tap one of your saved characters in the row of faces. It drops into the Star tile.

  3. Check the price

Standard runs at about 3.4 credits a second; Professional holds finer detail in faces and hands. The Swap button shows the total for your clip.

  4. Confirm and Swap

Tick the box to confirm you own the clip and the star is you or someone who agreed to appear. Then press Swap.

  5. Save it

About a minute later your character leads the same scene with the same moves and sound. Press Save to keep it in My Library, or download it.

Why it works

  • Clips with one clear person, steady framing and good light swap cleanest.
  • A character with several pinned angles holds up better when the source turns its head.

Made this way

Juniper swapped into a street dance clip: same moves, same street, same sound.

Your practice task

Swap the same character into two different trending clips and compare.

Put your saved character in the lead of a short video while keeping the scene, camera moves, and sound. Open Character Swap in PixelDojo. You'll need a clip between 2 and 30 seconds that you own or have permission to remake, plus a saved character. Start with the video tile. The add video window gives you three ways to bring in your clip. Choose upload for a file, my library for a saved video, or paste a link for a video link. With the clip added, tap the saved character you want in the lead. Here, choose Juniper. Her image appears in the star tile above the character row. Before you generate, check the price. Standard runs at about 3.4 credits per second, and the swap button shows the credit cost for your selected clip. Tick the confirmation box to confirm you own the clip or have permission to remake it and that the star agreed to appear. Then press swap to create the video. About a minute later, your video is ready. Juniper now leads the same scene, with the original camera moves, action, and sound kept in place. Only the star changes. Press save to keep the video in your library. If you want a file on your device instead, use the download button at the lower left of the video card. You've changed the star without changing the scene. Next, try your saved character in another clip with character swap.
