AIMLAPI alternative
AIMLAPI alternative built for image and video generation
Pixel Dojo gives developers one endpoint for the top image and video models, docs generated from each model's own spec, a hosted MCP server, and a full studio to test a prompt in the browser before it goes into code.
AIMLAPI resells a very large catalog of AI models behind one key, mostly language models. If your app makes pictures and clips, we think a media first API is the better fit, so we sent one prompt to three budget video models through ours.
16 credits ($1.00) per 8 s clip at 1080p with audio. Included in every plan, from $10/month.

6 reasons developers pick Pixel Dojo for media APIs
1. One request shape for every model
Every model runs through POST /api/v1/models/{apiId}/run and returns a job you poll at /api/v1/jobs/{jobId}. Switching from Veo 3.1 Lite to Seedance 2 Mini is a one word change.
2. Docs that cannot drift
Each model's API page, OpenAPI entry and LLM readable text file are generated from the same spec that validates your request, so a documented parameter is always an accepted one.
3. Prices in the catalog
The model catalog lists the credit price of every model, and each model page shows it before you generate, so you can cost a feature before you ship it.
4. A hosted MCP server
Point Claude, Cursor or another agent at our hosted MCP server and it can generate, upscale and caption without you writing glue code.
5. A studio for the humans on your team
Designers test prompts in the browser on the same models, and Sensei can plan and price a whole video before anything runs.
6. Small top ups
API credit packs start at $5, and a subscription covers web and API use from the same balance.
Image endpoints worth wiring in
Each image below came from one call to its model on Pixel Dojo, with the prompt shown on its tile.

Catalog shots on P-Image for 0.1 credits, quick enough for bulk product feeds.
E-commerce catalog photo of a single white leather low top sneaker with a gum sole, three quarter view on a seamless light grey background, soft even studio light, crisp stitching detail.

An icon set on Recraft V4.1 for app interfaces.
A set of six flat vector weather icons in a neat grid: sun, cloud, rain, snow, thunderstorm and wind, rounded shapes, two tone navy and sunflower yellow, consistent line weight, white background.

Game background art on Qwen Image 2.1.
Game background art of a cozy medieval tavern interior, a stone hearth with a roaring fire, long wooden tables with tankards, hanging herbs and lanterns, warm painterly light, no characters.

Luxury product art on FLUX 3 Image for 1 credit.
Luxury product photograph of a faceted glass perfume bottle on black water, a clean splash frozen around the base, a single strip light reflected in the glass, deep teal tones, high speed flash.
One API prompt, three budget video models
We sent the same tram prompt to three of our lowest cost video models through the public API at 720p. Each tile shows the settings, credits and time to result.
A red vintage tram climbs a steep cobbled hill street at sunrise, laundry lines strung between pastel houses, the camera tracks alongside at walking pace, a ringing tram bell and early morning birdsong.

- P-Video was the cheapest at 3.75 credits for 5 seconds and returned in about 31 seconds.
- Veo 3.1 Lite gave the most finished postcard frame, laundry lines and all, for 6 credits and 4 seconds of video.
- Seedance 2 Mini followed the tracking shot most closely and took the longest, about 114 seconds, for 10 credits.
- All three came back with a sound track, so the bell and street sound arrived without a second call.
AIMLAPI vs Pixel Dojo for media work
Everything in the AIMLAPI column comes from its pricing page and documentation home, read on October 15, 2026.
| Question | AIMLAPI | Pixel Dojo |
|---|---|---|
| What does the catalog cover? | Says 1000+ models across text, image, voice, video, music, embeddings and 3D; its pricing table listed 896 | Image and video generation, editing, upscaling, avatars, text to speech and music |
| How is video priced? | Per second or per generation in dollars, for example Veo 3.1 Fast $0.13 a second and Kling 3.0 Pro $0.1456 a second | Credits per model, listed in the catalog and on every model page before you generate |
| How do I call it? | An OpenAI style client pointed at its base URL, per its quickstart | POST /api/v1/models/{apiId}/run, a hosted MCP server, and a browser studio on the same models |
| How do I pay? | One billing key for every provider, with volume discounts and a free playground tier | API credit packs from $5, or a plan: Lite $10 a month for 160 credits, Pro $25 for 500 credits, Pro Max $50 for 1,100 credits |
When AIMLAPI is the better pick
If your product leans on language models, embeddings and chat, AIMLAPI covers far more of them than we do, and one key for text plus media is a real convenience.
If your product makes images and video, we think you get more from an API built around them: a request shape that stays the same across models, docs generated from the spec, an MCP server for agents, and a studio where the rest of your team can work on the same models.
What our API test cost
The three tram clips cost 3.75, 6 and 10 credits. Every tile lists its own price.
API credit packs start at $5. Plans are Lite $10 a month for 160 credits, Pro $25 for 500 credits, Pro Max $50 for 1,100 credits, and the same credits work on the web and through the API.
Under our refund policy, a first purchase can be refunded within 7 days, in full if under 20% of the credits are used and pro-rated after that.
