ToonBee alternative
ToonBee alternative: pick the animation engine, not just the template
ToonBee builds a whole cartoon from one idea. Pixel Dojo lets you choose the engine for every shot, see each clip's price first, and keep the looks you like.
We like the promise of a full cartoon from one prompt. We also know a single engine has one look. So we wrote one storybook scene and ran it on four video models we carry, to show how much the engine matters.
30 credits ($1.88) per 5 s clip at 720p with audio. Included in every plan, from $10/month.

More cartoon and anime work from the same plan
We made every image and clip below on Pixel Dojo with the prompt shown.
Hand drawn anime on Kling 3.0, vertical, with kitchen sound built in.
Hand drawn anime style, vertical: a ramen chef in his fifties with a white headband, laugh lines and a grey stubble lifts a tangle of noodles from a steaming pot and shakes them in a bamboo strainer, steam curling in warm lantern light at a tiny counter, cel shading, sounds of bubbling broth and a busy kitchen

A model sheet on GPT Image 2.5. Save the baker in Character Studio and call him by name in later scenes.
Cartoon character model sheet on a plain cream background: a jolly baker in his forties with a bushy ginger beard, a flour dusted blue apron and a tall white hat, shown four times in a row from the front, three quarter, side and back, consistent proportions and colors, flat cel shading, clean dark outlines, no text

A comic splash panel on Seedream 5 with halftone dots and a purple and orange night.
Comic book style splash panel: an astronomer in her forties with a silver bob and a teal field jacket kneels on an observatory roof at night adjusting a brass telescope, a comet streaking across a starry sky above her, bold ink lines, halftone dots, dramatic purple and orange palette, no text, no speech bubbles

A 3D storybook still on Nano Banana 2.1. Lock the look as a still, then animate it on any video engine.
3D storybook illustration: a plump grey badger postman in a tiny blue cap and a leather satchel pushes a letter through the round door of a snowy hillside cottage at dusk, warm lamplight in the windows, soft falling snow, rounded shapes, gentle film lighting
The case against one click cartoons
ToonBee says it creates the text, storyboard, characters, animations, voiceover and background music from one idea, for videos up to 5 minutes long. That is a lot of decisions made for you.
Our counter take: the engine is the biggest creative choice in an AI cartoon. One model draws soft 3D storybook faces, another drifts toward live action, a third nails the action but changes the setting. If you cannot pick, you cannot fix the look.
So we tested it. Same scene, same words, four engines.
One cuckoo clock scene on four video engines
Each engine got the same 3D storybook prompt with sound turned on: a clock repairer in her fifties opens a cuckoo clock and a wooden bird pops out. Every tile shows its own settings and credits.
3D cartoon animation in a bright storybook style: a cheerful cuckoo clock repairer in her fifties with grey curls, round glasses and a mustard cardigan opens the little door of a carved wooden clock, a tiny wooden bird pops out, and she laughs and says "Right on time!" Cozy workshop full of ticking clocks, warm window light, sounds of ticking and a cuckoo call.

- Seedance 2.5 gave the richest storybook look, with warm window light and shelves of painted clocks
- Kling 3.0 kept the cleanest 3D cartoon face and put the bird right behind the door she opened.
- WAN 3.0 delivered the full gag, bird out on its perch and a big laugh, for 10 credits.
- Veo 3.1 Fast rendered a real looking woman in a real workshop, with great acting.

How to keep a cartoon character on model
Start from a model sheet
Draw the character from four angles first, like our baker above, then use that sheet as the reference for every scene.
Save the character
Character Studio stores a character so you can call it by @name in any prompt, on any engine.
Name the style in every prompt
Write the same style words each time, so the look holds across engines and shots.
