Edimakor alternative
Edimakor alternative: from one photo to a captioned short, all in the browser
Pixel Dojo takes a still to a talking clip with sound on Seedance 2.5, reframes it for Shorts and Reels and burns in captions, with nothing to install and every price shown before you click.
Edimakor is a desktop video editor with AI tools built in. We wanted to show the AI half of that job running in a browser tab, so we made a short cooking clip from scratch in four steps.
30 credits ($1.88) per 5 s clip at 720p with audio. Included in every plan, from $10/month.

More shots for a creator channel
Each of these was made on Pixel Dojo from one prompt, shown on its tile.
Our hero clip on Seedance 2.5, voice and kitchen sound built in.
The cook presses the fork along the last ravioli edge, lifts it up to the camera with a proud grin and says, "Fork, press, done. Nobody will know these took twenty minutes." Flour drifts in the window light. Sound: his voice, the fork tapping the board, a quiet kitchen.
A talking vlog shot on Veo 3.1 Fast with wind and her voice.
Handheld vlog shot on a misty mountain ridge: a hiker in her thirties with a green rain shell and a braid turns the camera toward herself, out of breath and grinning, and says, "Twenty minutes of fog, and then this." The clouds open behind her onto a valley. Sound: wind, her voice, distant birds.
B-roll on Kling 3.0 with the spray and footsteps in the sound.
Slow tracking shot through a covered flower market at dawn: buckets of ranunculus, tulips and eucalyptus, a vendor in a canvas apron sprays the blooms with a mist bottle, light haze through the roof panels. Sound: misting spray, footsteps and quiet chatter.
A desk setup shot on WAN 3.0 for 10 credits.
Smooth overhead slide across a minimalist walnut desk at night: a mechanical keyboard with cream keys, a ceramic mug of tea, a small succulent and a notebook, a warm desk lamp clicks on and the scene glows amber. Sound: the lamp click and soft keyboard taps.

A video thumbnail on GPT Image 2.5 with clean bold text.
Bright cooking video thumbnail: a wooden board of fresh homemade ravioli dusted with flour and a fork pressing one edge, the words "RAVIOLI IN 20 MINUTES" in bold white letters with a tomato red outline on the left, clean high contrast food photography.
How we made a cooking short in four steps
- 1
Make the opening still
Nano Banana 2.1 made a home cook pressing fresh ravioli at a floury counter, for 1.5 credits.
- 2
Animate it with a spoken line
Seedance 2.5 used that still as its first frame. We wrote his line into the prompt, and the voice and kitchen sound came back with the picture.
- 3
Reframe for vertical
Video Reframe turned the 16:9 clip into a 9:16 version for Shorts, Reels and TikTok.
- 4
Burn in captions
Auto captions transcribed his line from the vertical clip and burned it in, ready for a muted feed.
Every step of the cooking short, as we ran it
These are the outputs exactly as the models returned them. Each tile shows the prompt, settings and credits it used.

Medium shot of a cheerful man in his fifties with rolled shirt sleeves and a flour dusted apron at a home kitchen counter, pressing the edges of fresh ravioli with a fork on a floured wooden board, a bowl of ricotta filling beside him, warm window light, looking at the camera, 35mm lens.
- Seedance 2.5 kept the cook, his apron and the kitchen from the still, pressed the last ravioli and spoke the line with the fork tapping the board. That clip is at the top of the page.
- Video Reframe kept him centered in the 9:16 crop the whole way through, so nothing important fell off the edges.
- Auto captions transcribed his line, "Fork, press, done," and the rest of it word for word, with key words in yellow.
- The still cost 1.5 credits, the clip 30, the reframe 8 and the captions 5.

When Edimakor is the better pick
If you want a full timeline editor on your own computer, with the AI tools inside it, Edimakor is built that way. HitPaw says its non AI editing features are free to use with a watermark on exports, and the perpetual license is a one time payment.
It also lists a video translator with more than 400 AI voices, voice cloning, a clip maker for long videos and background and watermark removal. If those editing jobs are most of your week, it is a sensible buy.
If you mostly need the shots themselves, made on the newest models and finished with captions and a vertical crop, we think doing it in the browser here is faster.
What the cooking short cost us
