How to make a short film with AI

White belt· Beginner1:57 videoUses Film Studio

One sentence in, a one-minute film out: scenes with dialogue and sound, your cast, a score and titles. Writing is free, and you see the price before anything is made.

You need: One sentence: who, what they want, what is in the way. · Start to finish, step 9 of 10

Step by step

  1. Write the idea in one sentence

Who, what they want, and what is in the way: "An old lighthouse keeper relights his broken lamp in a storm so his granddaughter's lost fishing boat can find the harbor." Choose Just an idea, then press Write the scenes. Writing is free.

  2. Read the scenes

Film Studio writes the film as scenes of about 12 seconds, each with its own shots, spoken lines and sound. Edit any line you want to change.

  3. Check the plan and the price

The plan card lists the story type, length, look, format, voices and score, each with a Change link. The price shows before you spend anything: about 382 credits for a one-minute film.

  4. Make the cast

Press Make the cast. Film Studio draws every character, place and prop. If one looks off, press Make again on that picture, or cast a saved character instead. Then press Looks right, film the scenes.

  5. Review, then cut

Every scene renders with its dialogue and sound, then a review flags anything worth fixing. Redo those scenes with a note, or press Cut it as it is.

  6. Download your film

The finished film arrives with a title card, a score and an end card, already saved in My Library. Download it, or redo any single scene and cut again.

Why it works

  • A strong film idea has a want and an obstacle in one sentence. "Relights his lamp so the boat can find the harbor" beats "a lighthouse video".
  • Fix the cast before you film. A redo at the casting step costs one picture; a redo after filming costs a whole scene.

Made this way
