Craiyon alternative

Craiyon alternative: a birthday card that costs under a credit, then moves

Pixel Dojo runs fast low cost image models from a quarter of a credit, lets you compare them on one prompt, and turns the one you like into a short animated card on the same plan.

Craiyon is a quick, playful way to make an AI picture: type a silly idea and see what comes back. We kept that spirit for a real small job, a birthday card for a friend, and ran it on Pixel Dojo from first sketch to animated card.

10 credits ($0.63) per 5 s clip at 720p. Included in every plan, from $10/month.

The grey rabbit takes a deep breath and blows out the candles on the carrot cake, little wisps of smoke rise, confetti keeps drifting down and the party hat wobbles, gentle hand drawn feel.

The case: a birthday card in a crayon style

The brief was simple: a grey rabbit in a party hat blowing out candles on a carrot cake, bright pastels, crayon texture. It is the kind of picture people go to Craiyon for, and the kind of card that lands better when it moves.

We wanted the cheapest good drawing first, then one animated version to send.

  • All four drawings nailed the crayon look, the party hat and the candles. Z-Image Turbo did it for 0.25 credits.
  • Seedream 5 Flash was the only one to draw a breath puff toward the candles, for 0.5 credits.
  • Nano Banana 2.1 built a whole party scene, table, chair, bunting and balloons, which made it the best one to animate.
  • WAN 2.7 kept the drawing style while the rabbit blew out every candle, for 10 credits.
