DeepSwap alternative
DeepSwap alternative: cast your character instead of swapping a face
Pixel Dojo can swap a face into a clip, but the better result usually comes from casting your character in the shot from the first frame, with the same face in every scene.
DeepSwap puts one face onto someone else's video. We tried both routes on Pixel Dojo with a face we generated ourselves: a swap into a market clip, and the same scene made fresh with that face as a reference.
30 credits ($1.88) per 5 s clip at 720p with audio. Included in every plan, from $10/month.

The same generated face, four more places
One reference image of a person who does not exist, reused across genres. Every tile shows its prompt.
A vertical clip on Seedance 2.5 with the face as a reference and sound built in.
@Image1 is the woman: keep her exact face, short platinum pixie cut, light freckles and green eyes. Vertical shot of her ice skating at an outdoor rink at night under strings of warm lights, she glides toward the camera, spins once and laughs, breath misting in the cold air, skates scraping the ice and soft music from speakers.

A travel photo on Nano Banana 2.1 for 1.5 credits.
The woman from the reference image, same face, platinum pixie cut and freckles, laughing on the deck of a small sailboat in a yellow rain jacket as sea spray flies past, grey green sea and overcast sky, editorial travel photograph.

A painted style on Nano Banana 2.1 that still reads as her.
The woman from the reference image redrawn as a hand painted storybook illustration, same face, pixie cut and freckles, reading an old map at a wooden table in a cozy lantern lit library, soft gouache texture, warm palette.

A classic film noir still on Nano Banana 2.1.
1940s black and white film noir still of the woman from the reference image, same face and platinum pixie cut, in a belted trench coat under a streetlamp on a rainy cobbled street, hard shadows, film grain.
The counter take: most face swaps are a casting problem
People reach for a face swap when they have the right clip with the wrong face. With AI video, you rarely have to start from someone else's clip. You can write the scene and put your character in it from the first frame.
That matters for quality. A swap pastes a face onto a head that was lit, shaped and timed for someone else. Casting the face from the start lets the model light it, turn it and animate it as part of the shot.
It also matters for consent. A swap invites using footage of real people. We only ever swap between faces we generated ourselves, and we think that is the line everyone should hold: use a face you made, or one whose owner said yes.
Swap vs cast: one generated face, one market scene
We generated a headshot of a person who does not exist on Nano Banana 2.1, and a market clip of a second generated woman on Seedance 2.5. Then we swapped her into the clip (using a 1K copy of the headshot), and separately made the same scene with the headshot as a reference.

Studio headshot of a fictional woman in her late twenties with a short platinum pixie cut, light freckles and green eyes, wearing a black turtleneck, facing the camera with a calm closed mouth smile, plain warm grey backdrop, soft key light, sharp detail.
Medium shot of a woman in her late twenties with auburn hair in a loose ponytail and a green knit sweater walking toward the camera down a sunny farmers market aisle, she picks up a red apple, smiles and looks into the lens, crates of produce on both sides, handheld documentary look, crowd chatter and a vendor calling out.
@Image1 is the woman: keep her exact face, short platinum pixie cut, light freckles and green eyes. Medium shot of her in a denim jacket walking toward the camera down a sunny farmers market aisle, she picks up a red apple, smiles and looks into the lens, crates of produce on both sides, handheld documentary look, crowd chatter and a vendor calling out.
- The swap kept every beat of the source clip: the walk, the reach for an apple, the smile to camera and the same stalls behind her.
- WAN Video Character Swap moved her whole look, face and black turtleneck, but kept the source's long hair, so the pixie cut became a platinum ponytail.
- Casting her with Seedance 2.5 kept the pixie cut and freckles from the headshot and built a new market scene around her, apple and smile included.
- The swap cost 20 credits and needs footage to start from. The cast clip cost 30 credits and needs only the headshot.

When DeepSwap is the better pick
If the job really is a swap, DeepSwap is built for it. Its home page lists video, photo and GIF swaps, up to 6 faces in one clip and VR face swap, and its pricing page charges only 1 credit per 15 seconds of video. For long clips with several faces, that is a specialist tool.
Just keep the consent rule in mind on any platform: DeepSwap's own terms put the responsibility for the faces you upload on you.
What casting a character costs on Pixel Dojo
Plans are Lite $10 a month for 160 credits, Pro $25 for 500 credits, Pro Max $50 for 1,100 credits. Every model page shows its credit price before you generate, and commercial use is included on every plan.

DeepSwap questions
What is a good alternative to DeepSwap?
For most projects, cast your character from the start: generate or upload a face you have the rights to, save it in Character Studio, and use it as a reference on Seedance 2.5 or Nano Banana 2.1. For a true swap, Pixel Dojo has WAN Video Character Swap.
How much does DeepSwap cost?
DeepSwap's pricing page lists PRO access with 20 credits a month and charges 1 credit per 15 seconds of video face swap, 0.1 credit per photo and 1 credit per GIF. It does not show a plan price on that page.
Is it OK to face swap a real person?
Only with their consent. We only swap between faces we generated ourselves, and DeepSwap's terms also make you responsible for the rights in the faces you upload.
How do I keep the same face across many clips?
Save the face in Character Studio and call it by @name, or attach the same headshot as a reference image on every run, as we did for the market, rink, sailboat and noir scenes above.
