Elai alternative
Elai alternative: show the moment, not just a presenter describing it
Elai builds training videos around a talking avatar. Pixel Dojo can do that too, and it can also film the scenario itself, with real looking people, the line spoken in the scene and room sound, on the model you pick.
Training sticks when people see the mistake happen. We wrote one data safety moment, an unlocked laptop in an office cafe, and rendered it on three video models, then gave a presenter a typed script for the intro.
30 credits ($1.88) per 5 s clip at 720p with audio. Included in every plan, from $10/month.

More pieces for the same training module
Every image and clip below was made on Pixel Dojo with the prompt shown.
Our hero shot on Seedance 2.5, with her line, the lid click and cafe chatter in the sound.
Workplace training scenario in a bright office cafe: a plain matte grey laptop with no logo sits open and unlocked on an empty table. A woman in a grey blazer walks up, gently closes its lid, turns to her coworker at the next table and says, "Lock it before you walk away. Every time." He nods and smiles. Medium shot, daylight. Sound: cafe chatter, a soft lid click, her voice.
A warehouse safety shot on Kling 3.0 with a reverse alarm and footsteps built in.
A safety lead in a high visibility vest and hard hat walks along a warehouse loading dock and points at the yellow floor markings as a forklift waits at the line, slow tracking shot, bright overhead light. Sound: beeping reverse alarm, footsteps and warehouse hum.

A course title card on GPT Image 2.5, text spelled cleanly.
Clean e-learning course title card: the words "SPOT THE PHISH" in large bold navy letters, the subtitle "Module 3: Email safety" below, a simple flat illustration of an envelope with a fishing hook, white background with soft teal shapes, modern corporate style.

The presenter portrait on Nano Banana 2.1, ready for any script.
Chest up portrait of a friendly corporate trainer, a man in his forties with close cropped grey hair, a navy quarter zip sweater and a calm smile, looking straight into the lens with lips closed, a softly blurred bright office behind him, natural window light.
The usual advice: put an avatar in front of the slides
For years the fast way to make a training video was a presenter avatar reading a script over slides. Elai is built for exactly that: it turns a script, a URL or a PowerPoint deck into a narrated video with one of its stock presenters.
It works, and it is cheap compared with a film crew. But a presenter can only tell people what to do. Most compliance and soft skills lessons land better when learners watch the situation play out, which is why Elai added Avatar Dialogs, two avatars on one slide.
Today's video models can film that scene directly. You describe the room, the people, the action and the line, and the clip comes back with the voice and the room sound in it.
One data safety scenario, three video models, one presenter
Same prompt on Seedance 2.5 (the clip at the top of the page), Kling 3.0 and WAN 3.0, 5 seconds at 16:9 with sound. Then the trainer portrait below and a typed script on P-Video Avatar for the module intro.

- Seedance 2.5, in the hero clip, staged it the way the prompt read: she walks up, closes the lid, turns and speaks, with the click and the cafe in the sound.
- Kling 3.0 framed the laptop first and played the closing as the main beat, with her coworker reacting in the background.
- WAN 3.0 put both people at one table for a warmer, conversational take, for 10 credits.
- P-Video Avatar turned one portrait and a typed script into a presenter intro for 11 credits, with no audio file needed.
When Elai is still the right tool
If your team needs SCORM export, quizzes, clickable buttons, branching and video analytics, Elai lists all of them, and that is the plumbing a learning management system expects. It also turns PPTX decks into video and translates into more than 75 languages.
If you need a whole library of narrated lessons from existing slides, that workflow is hard to beat. Use Pixel Dojo for the scenes your slides cannot show, and drop the clips into whatever tool assembles the course.

Elai questions
What is a good alternative to Elai.io?
Pixel Dojo makes presenter videos from a portrait and a typed script on P-Video Avatar, and also films whole training scenarios with real looking people and sound on Seedance 2.5, Kling 3.0 or WAN 3.0.
How much does Elai cost?
Elai lists a free plan with 1 video minute, Creator at $29 a month for 15 minutes and Team at $125 a month for 50 minutes, with lower rates billed yearly and custom Enterprise pricing.
Does Elai charge for re-rendering a video?
