Looksy alternative
Looksy alternative: try-on photos and video you make once and own
Looksy puts a try-on button in your Shopify store and bills per try-on. Pixel Dojo lets you dress your own model in your own product on three image engines, turn the result into a video, and use it everywhere.
We shot one plain model photo and one flat lay of a rust orange quilted overshirt, then asked three image models to put the shirt on him. Then we turned our favorite into a short video, the format Looksy reserves for its top plan.
30 credits ($1.88) per 5 s clip at 720p with audio. Included in every plan, from $10/month.

One overshirt, three try-on engines
We made the model and the flat lay on Nano Banana 2.1, then gave both to three image models with the same instruction: put this exact shirt on this man, worn open, and change nothing else.

Full body studio photo of a man in his late twenties with a shaved head and a short beard, wearing a plain heather grey crew neck t-shirt, black chinos and white canvas sneakers, standing straight facing the camera with relaxed arms, seamless warm beige background, soft even light, sharp focus.

Ecommerce flat lay of a rust orange quilted overshirt with dark brown snap buttons and two chest pockets, laid flat and neatly on a plain white background, top down view, even soft light, no logos, no text.

Dress the man from the first image in the exact rust orange quilted overshirt from the second image, worn open over his grey t-shirt. Keep his face, shaved head, beard, pose, black chinos, white sneakers and the warm beige studio background unchanged. The overshirt should fit naturally with real quilting, snap buttons, chest pockets and soft shadows.

- All three kept his face, beard, chinos, sneakers and the beige backdrop the same as the model photo.
- GPT Image 2.5 gave the most natural drape, open over the t-shirt as asked, so we used it for the video.
- Nano Banana 2.1 matched the quilting grid and the chest pockets closely for 1.5 credits.
- FLUX 2 Pro wore the shirt nearly closed instead of open. Run a second take when styling matters.
How to build a try-on shoot here
One model photo, many products
Save your model in Character Studio and call them by @name, so every product lands on the same person.
Shoot the product flat
A clean flat lay on white gives the model the clearest look at the seams, buttons and color.
Ask for one change only
Name the garment and list what must stay the same, as in our prompt, and the rest of the photo holds.
Turn the best take into video
A 5 second turn on Seedance 2.5 shows fit and drape better than any still.
When Looksy is the better pick
If you want shoppers to see your product on themselves, inside your store, Looksy does that and we do not. Its listing adds size help from your size charts, bundles and upsells, email capture with Klaviyo and Shopify Flow, and analytics on what shoppers try on.
Looksy also has a free plan with unlimited try-ons and its branding shown, which is an easy way to test the idea.
If you want the try-on images and videos for your own product pages, ads and social posts, we think making them on Pixel Dojo is the better deal.
What our try-on shoot cost
Plans are Lite $10 a month for 160 credits, Pro $25 for 500 credits, Pro Max $50 for 1,100 credits. Every plan includes every model and commercial use.
The try-on stills cost 2.5, 1.5 and 1.5 credits each, and the video took 30 credits. Each tile lists its own price.
Under our refund policy, a first purchase can be refunded within 7 days, in full if under 20% of the credits are used and pro-rated after that.
