Pletor alternative

Pletor alternative: one packshot, a whole product campaign

Pixel Dojo puts the image and video models a product team needs behind one plan, shows the credit price of every generation before you click, and lets you chain a packshot into scenes and a video ad in a single browser tab.

Pletor sells a creative system for commerce built around brand memory and production flows. We wanted to see how far a plain studio gets on the core job, so we shot one kettle packshot, set it on a stove with three edit models and turned the best scene into the clip above.

30 credits ($1.88) per 5 s clip at 720p with audio. Included in every plan, from $10/month.

Steam curls from the spout, then a hand reaches in, lifts the kettle off the burner by its walnut handle and pours a slow stream of hot water into the pour over dripper. Morning light, a gentle push in. Sound: a soft whistle fading, water pouring, a quiet kitchen.

More commerce creative we made on Pixel Dojo

Every image and clip below was made on Pixel Dojo with the prompt shown.

An oatmeal wool throw draped over a rust velvet armchair by a sunny window, with books and a mug of tea on a side table

A catalog lifestyle shot on FLUX 3 Image, for 1 credit.

Lifestyle catalog photograph of a chunky oatmeal wool throw folded over the arm of a rust velvet armchair beside a tall window, a stack of two hardback books and a mug of tea on a small oak side table. Low winter sun rakes across the knit, soft dust in the light, shot on 50mm at f2, warm natural color.

Overhead flat lay product photograph of three hammered copper saucepans of different sizes arranged on a dark slate countertop with a wooden spoon, a linen towel and a few bay leaves. Soft window light from the left, rich warm metal reflections, sharp detail on every hammer mark, editorial ecommerce style.

A wide banner ad: an orange trail shoe splashes onto wet rock under the headline BUILT FOR WET ROCK with a SHOP THE DROP button

A performance ad on Ideogram 4.5. The headline and button text came out exactly as written.

Performance ad banner for an unbranded trail running shoe: a single orange and charcoal shoe mid stride on a wet granite slab with spray flying, misty pine ridge behind. Bold condensed white headline across the top reads "BUILT FOR WET ROCK" and a small rounded button at the bottom reads "SHOP THE DROP". Clean layout, high contrast, no logos.

A UGC style testimonial on Kling 3.0 with her line spoken in the clip.

Vertical selfie style UGC clip: a woman in her thirties with freckles and a loose bun stands at a bathroom mirror in morning light, holds a small amber dropper bottle up to the phone, puts two drops on her fingertips, pats them onto her cheek and says, "Two weeks in and my skin finally stopped feeling tight." Natural handheld wobble. Sound: her voice and a soft tiled room echo.

The usual advice: buy a creative system first

Pletor pitches itself as "the creative system for commerce": Flows for production pipelines, a Brain that stores brand rules and references, and an Agent you can run in chat, by voice, through its API or from Claude. For a large team with many brands, that setup can earn its keep.

Most shops start smaller. They have one product photo and need it in a scene, in an ad and in a short video by Friday. We think that job needs the right models and a clear price per step more than it needs a system to configure, so we tested exactly that.

One kettle packshot, three edit models, one video ad

We made a studio packshot on Nano Banana 2.1, gave the same scene prompt to three edit models, then animated the GPT Image 2 Edit result on Seedance 2.5. Each tile shows the settings and credits it used.

The source: a speckled cream enamel kettle with a walnut handle on a plain warm white background

Studio packshot of a speckled cream enamel stovetop kettle with a curved walnut handle and a short spout, standing alone on a seamless warm white background. Soft overhead softbox light, a gentle contact shadow, product centered and shot straight on at eye level, crisp edges, no text, no logo.

Place this exact kettle on the front burner of a black cast iron gas stove in a sunny farmhouse kitchen, with a ceramic pour over coffee dripper and a mug on the counter beside it, morning light through a window and a wisp of steam rising from the spout. Keep the kettle's speckled cream enamel, walnut handle and shape unchanged. Tall vertical composition.

  • All three edit models kept the kettle recognizable: the speckled cream enamel, the walnut handle and the short spout came through.
  • GPT Image 2 Edit built the fullest scene, with a framed print, herbs and a cast iron range, and it was our pick for the video.
  • FLUX 2 Pro gave the warmest light and the softest background, and at 1.5 credits it was the cheapest of the three.
  • Seedance 2.5 animated the scene with a hand lifting the kettle and pouring into the dripper, with kitchen sound built in.

When Pletor is the better pick

If you run creative for many brands and want brand rules, references and performance data held in one shared memory, Pletor is built for that. Its paid plans include unlimited users, API and MCP access and batch mode.

Pletor also lists enterprise needs on its pricing page: SSO, US or EU data hosting, bring your own API keys, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II. If procurement asks for those, start there.

If you are one team making product images and ads, we think paying per generation on a plan with every top model is the simpler deal.

How we would run a product launch on Pixel Dojo

  • Shoot the packshot once

Generate a clean studio shot, or upload your own, on a plain studio background.

  • Place it in scenes

Give the same scene prompt to Nano Banana Edit, GPT Image 2 Edit and FLUX 2 Pro and keep the one that fits the brand.

  • Animate the winner

Use that scene as the first frame on Seedance 2.5 or Kling 3.0 for a vertical ad with sound.

  • Add text ads and UGC

Ideogram 4.5 sets headlines and buttons cleanly; Kling 3.0 makes selfie style testimonials with the line spoken.

  • Hand it to Sensei

Describe the campaign and Sensei plans the shots, quotes the price and waits for your approval before it generates.

What a product campaign costs on Pixel Dojo

Plans are Lite $10 a month for 160 credits, Pro $25 for 500 credits, Pro Max $50 for 1,100 credits. Every plan includes every model and commercial use.

In our test the packshot cost 1.5 credits, the three scenes cost 4.5, 5 and 1.5 credits, and the 5 second Seedance 2.5 clip cost 30 credits. Every tile lists its own price.

Under our refund policy, a first purchase can be refunded within 7 days, in full if under 20% of the credits are used and pro-rated after that.

Pletor questions

What is a good alternative to Pletor?

Pixel Dojo runs the image and video models product teams use, shows the credit price before every generation, and adds Sensei, Film Studio, LoRA training and a public API on the same plan.

How much does Pletor cost?

Pletor lists Starter at $19 a month for 1,200 credits, Builder at $49 for 3,300 and Studio at $199 for 15,000, with 25% off on annual billing and custom Enterprise pricing.

Do Pletor credits roll over?

Pletor's pricing page lists a 1 month rollover on Builder and 3 months on Studio. Starter shows no rollover.

Can I put my own product photo into AI scenes?

Yes. Upload the packshot to Nano Banana Edit, GPT Image 2 Edit or FLUX 2 Pro with a scene prompt. In our test all three kept the kettle's finish, handle and shape.

Can I turn a product image into a video ad?

Yes. Use the image as the first frame on Seedance 2.5 or Kling 3.0. The kettle clip on this page was made that way, with sound.
