Clippie AI alternative

Clippie AI alternative: a narrated story short in three steps

Pixel Dojo makes the footage for a faceless short, not just the edit: a cinematic still, a moving shot with the narrator's voice built in, then burned in captions, each step priced before you run it.

Clippie AI is built around templates for faceless shorts: text stories, Reddit narrations, would you rather and quiz videos over stock or gameplay footage. We built one spooky story short from nothing to see what that looks like when every frame is generated.

30 credits ($1.88) per 5 s clip at 720p with audio. Included in every plan, from $10/month.

The empty wooden boat drifts slowly toward the island as the lantern flickers and fog rolls low across the water, slow push in. A calm male narrator says, "Every night at midnight, the boat leaves the dock with no one aboard." Sound: lapping water and a low wind.

A split screen card reading WOULD YOU RATHER with a snowy log cabin and a palm hut on an island

A would you rather card on Ideogram 4.5. Both captions came out spelled right.

Vertical split screen social graphic with the headline "WOULD YOU RATHER" across the top, the left half a snowed in log cabin labeled "A YEAR IN THE ARCTIC", the right half a palm hut on a tiny island labeled "A YEAR ON AN ISLAND", bold clean lettering, bright flat colors.

Satisfying background footage on WAN 3.0, with the clicks of the marbles built in.

Vertical satisfying macro shot: glass marbles in swirling colors roll down a spiral wooden track one after another, warm light, shallow depth of field, rhythmic clicks and soft clacks.

History story b-roll on Kling 3.0 with a crackling flame and rustling pages.

Vertical slow pan across a captain's desk lit by one candle: a brass compass, a sand hourglass and an old logbook with faded handwriting, dust drifting in the light, a crackling flame and pages rustling.

How we built a ghost story short

  1. 1

    Set the scene

FLUX 3 Image painted a vertical still of an empty wooden boat with a glowing lantern on dark water, a misty island and moonbeams behind it, for 1 credit.

  2. 2

    Make it move and speak

Seedance 2.5 used that still as its first frame, kept the boat drifting and gave a calm male narrator the opening line, with lapping water underneath, for 30 credits.

  3. 3

    Burn in the captions

Auto captions transcribed the narration and set it in bold white and yellow words on the clip, for 5 credits.

Every step of the story short, as we ran it

The actual output of each step, in order. Each tile shows its prompt, settings and credits.

Step 1 on FLUX 3 Image: an empty wooden boat with a lantern on black water, a fog covered island and moonbeams

Vertical cinematic still of an empty wooden ferry drifting toward a fog covered island at night, a single lantern glowing on its bow, black water, moonlight breaking through the fog, film grain.

  • The still already had the mood a story channel wants: moonlight through cloud, a single warm lantern and dark water.
  • Seedance 2.5 kept the boat, the lantern and the island from the still and added the narrator's voice in the same render.
  • Auto captions caught the line word for word, from EVERY NIGHT AT MIDNIGHT to WITH NO ONE ABOARD, with a highlighted key word.

When Clippie AI is the better pick

If your channel runs on fake text videos, Reddit narrations or split screen gameplay, Clippie AI has those formats as ready templates. Paste a script or a Reddit link and it builds the video with voice and captions.

That is the faster path for high volume template content. Pixel Dojo is the better pick when you want original footage that nobody else on the feed is using.
