Fotor alternatives
Fotor alternatives for AI images you can edit and animate
Fotor is a friendly all in one photo editor. Pixel Dojo is built for generating: the newest image models side by side, instruction edits, relighting and image to video, each priced before you click.
Fotor's generator lists models like GPT Image 2, Nano Banana and Seedream. We carry the same families, so we ran one product flat lay on four of them, then edited, relit and animated the results.
2 credits ($0.13) per image at 1024x1024. Included in every plan, from $10/month.

What comes after the flat lay
Edits, light and motion on the same images. Every result below was made on Pixel Dojo with the prompt shown.
The GPT Image 2.5 flat lay animated on WAN 2.7 for 10 credits, with sound.
Top down shot: a hand slides into frame, uncaps the brass fountain pen and opens the linen notebook, a thin wisp of steam rises from the tea, soft window light shifts slowly across the desk.

Magic Lighting turned morning into evening for 1 credit.
Cozy evening light: a warm desk lamp glowing from the upper right, soft amber pools of light on the notebook and the tea, deeper shadows at the edges of the desk

Kling Image Edit added the tulips from one sentence for 1 credit and left the rest in place.
Add a small clear glass vase with three fresh yellow tulips on the desk beside the notebook. Keep the notebook, the fountain pen, the tea, the dried flowers, the oak desk and the light exactly the same.

A professional headshot on Nano Banana 2.1 for 1.5 credits.
Professional headshot of an architect in her fifties with cropped white hair and tortoiseshell cat eye glasses, a charcoal blazer over a black knit top, arms loosely crossed, softly blurred bright studio office behind her, soft window key light, 85mm lens, natural skin texture.
One flat lay on four of the same model families
The brief: a stationery shop post with a linen notebook, a brass fountain pen, dried wildflowers and black tea on an oak desk, with room for a headline. Same prompt, square, on four models. Each tile shows its settings and credits.

Flat lay photograph for a stationery shop social post: a linen bound notebook, a brass fountain pen, a small bunch of dried wildflowers and a cup of black tea on a pale oak desk, soft morning window light, gentle shadows, empty space at the top for a headline.

- All four kept every object we asked for: notebook, fountain pen, dried flowers and tea.
- Seedream 5 had the most atmosphere, with window light falling across the desk in long shadows.
- GPT Image 2.5 added the most styling on its own, a pen cap, a ceramic dish and a sprig of eucalyptus.
- FLUX 3 Image was the tidiest product layout and the cheapest at 1 credit.
Fotor plans vs Pixel Dojo
Fotor facts come from its pricing page, help center and AI image generator page, read October 15, 2026. Fotor's pricing page loads prices per region, so we list credits, not dollars.
| Question | Fotor | Pixel Dojo |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly credits | Pro 100, Pro+ 300, Max 1,000 to 50,000 | Lite $10 a month for 160 credits, Pro $25 for 500 credits, Pro Max $50 for 1,100 credits |
| What one image costs | One credit per AI image, per Fotor's help center | Shown on each model page before you generate; our four test images cost 1 to 2.5 credits |
| Commercial use | Fotor says generated images can be used in commercial projects | Commercial use on every plan |
| Video | Image to video and AI video tools | Seedance 2.5, Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0, WAN 3.0 and more, plus Film Studio for whole films |
The deep dive: editor first or generator first
Fotor grew up as a photo editor, and it shows. Brand kits, batch background removal and AI slides sit next to the editor, which is perfect when the photo already exists and needs to become a post.
Pixel Dojo starts at the other end, when the picture does not exist yet. You pick the model per job, see the credit price first, and keep going on the same image: an instruction edit, new light, a wider frame or a short clip.
Our flat lay shows the workflow. We generated four takes, chose two, added tulips with one sentence, relit one for evening and animated another. Each step ran on its own model and its own tile shows what it cost.
When Fotor is the better pick
If your week is mostly retouching photos you took, keeping posts on brand and removing backgrounds in batches, Fotor's editor and brand kits will save you time. We would keep it for that.
If the work starts with a blank prompt, or turns into video, we think Pixel Dojo gives you more models and more control, with every price shown up front.
What our Fotor style test cost
Plans are Lite $10 a month for 160 credits, Pro $25 for 500 credits, Pro Max $50 for 1,100 credits. Every plan includes every model and commercial use.
The four flat lays cost 2, 1.5, 2.5 and 1 credits. The tulip edit and the evening relight cost 1 credit each, and the animated clip 10 credits.
Under our refund policy, a first purchase can be refunded within 7 days, in full if under 20% of the credits are used and pro-rated after that.
